Gonna get the weight off for good! Who's with me?!
Hi everyone! I'm Dana and I'm 26. I've been overweight all my life (literally since childhood) Yep, I've always been the fat chick *sigh*.... and I'm fed up with it.
I've tried just about everything over the years to lose weight and maintain it. I've gone down a few pounds to my lowest of 225, up even more to my highest of 260, and I always end up right back where I started. I always end up feeling tired, hungry, discouraged, depressed, unattractive, and everything in between. And I've had enough of feeling awful and uncomfortable all the time. I also injured my knee two months ago which is making the extra weight especially unbearable.
So I went to a WeightWatchers meeting with my friend yesterday and decided to get back on track. I've been a WW member for while now (used to attend meetings, but now an online member) but kinda fell off the wagon (a few times haha). Right now I'm back to tracking and I also have a 24 hr fitness membership that I need to use more often. My goal is to break out of 200 and eventually get down to 125-135.
I'm excited to be back on track and I'd love to meet some weight loss buddies with similar goals and plans. GL everyone!
Welcome! This is a good place for support and info. I think there is a forum for Weight Watchers, and also several different forums for exercise. It sounds like you've got a good plan in place. Good luck on your journey!
I have set a goal of 50 pounds for myself. I weigh about 190 pounds right now. I have been trying a lot of different diets, with absolutely no results. I guess Im gonna have to do it the hard way! LOL. Good luck to you and I am with you for sure.
We can do it my little chubbybun! Have you been tracking the last two days? I've been good. I made a go to snack bag so I stay away from the kitchen where all the junk is. Seems to be working pretty well. I also take a healthy snack downstairs with me before bed so I don't wander upstairs and binge at night. We rearranged our living room so now the treadmill faces the TV. Doesn't look very good but who cares, it's more motivation to get moving. Call me later if you want. Love ya!
Hi! I read in your post your from portland too. Dana and I both live in the portland area and have been friends since 5th grade. Maybe we could start a weightloss trio. Where about in portland are you? I'm in the milwaukie/gladstone area.
Thank you all for the warm welcome! I'm excited to share our progress and weight loss tips.

Yep! I've been tracking since Weds. I even marked the 6 points I went over one day in my 35. I've been good. Good job on the snack bag and exercise motivation! I did the same thing by putting the stationary bike near the tv a couple weeks ago. I may have to move it though. Willow keeps trying to chew on it haha.

Hi Ashleigh! Wow, you're all over the place hehe. I'm on the SW side of the river too (Tigard, LO, West Linn area). Although my gym's in SE off 82nd.
I went to PSU for a while too, to study graphic design. What are you studying?
Yeah the job that takes me to aloha and tigard is new, I don't usually frequent those areas, I'm a homebody who still doesn't know the area too well lol.
I'm a sociology major at PSU. You not at PSU anymore??
