Are you sure it's not water weight? Maybe only up your calories to 200 more instead of 400. That's normally what I did when I had to increase them to maintain my weight. Of course everyone is different, but maybe your body is recognizing the increase as another meal. Try a lower one and see how that works out for you. Best of luck!

What kind of snacks are you eating? Still I would give it at least two weeks.

I started close to the weight you are now and average 1500-1600 cals/day. Guessing from your picture that you are considerably younger so would expect you would lose pretty well in this calorie range. I lose @ 6 lbs. per month.

Oh, and I only get on a scale once a month so I don't get discouraged by the slow rate or even those mystery higher weights.

I say give it another week too. I eat between 1400 and 1600 and I've been doing pretty good. I still gain some days and all that. Definitely keep your water up, if I even eat a little over my 1600 I try and drink an extra couple cup. I think that calorie range should be suitable for you (of course everyone is different). But I would bet a million that it's water weight and that there's no way you would actually be able to gain FAT on that many calories a day.

Give it time. 2-3 weeks then tweak as necessary.
