Default Hello from Ohio!

Hi! Everyone! My name is Katie and I am 30 years old, and from the good old state of Ohio! I found this site by actually googling "Weight loss message boards" lol.. and after reading some threads, I decided to join, it seems like a nice supportive board!

So a little more about myself. Like I said I am 30 years old, and I have been overweight most of life. I currently live at home with my parents, and do not have a job. I weigh about 360 lbs, and I'm only about 5'5.. it hurts to stand, hurts to walk, and over all I am not healthy. That needs to change! I can't move on with my life, and become the person I want to be, if I'm stuck in this fat body! I've tried the positive approach with love your body, but how can I love something that causes so much pain? Nothing is fun anymore! I can't walk for long periods, I can't stand for long periods, my legs hurt, my lower back REALLY REALLY hurts, and I get out of breath, and there is times I dread going places because I have to walk, or stand!

I need change! I don't want to die early, I want to be able to run, walk, swim, have fun, etc. If I dont' change I will die!

So I need to be more active, need to eat better (my biggest problem is eating at night after everyone has gone to bed) I need to start walking more, riding my bike, working out. I need to get real and make a real change!

I'm hoping to find support, and encouragement here.

Hi! I am in Ohio too

I have a close friend who had similar "stats" to yours and she did WW and started walking gently on a treadmill, working up to more vigorous activity and in 1 year she was down 100lbs!

It can be done and YOU CAN DO IT!

Welcome. I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.

Hi Katie! Welcome to 3FC I am originally from Ohio, Akron to be exact, GO BUCKEYES!!! haha Last Friday was my first day and I am using WW from home. I looked up all the point values and have been using a online calculator and I am down to 307.00 as of this morning. This was without excercise. Now this week I will start with Wii fit for my excercise. Your the first person that seems like they would like like to communicate daily to keep motivated that is over 300 like myself. Wanna be weightloss buddy's ?
