Default This is Amazing

I had tried everything from ww, to carb counting and nothing works for me. They do for some but not for me. Stupid me didn't realize that what I did in highschool is what works for me. Counting Calories. After I made it thru the first few days,,the hunger went away. Food is like a drug addiction,,lol. I have to plan the next day. Like I'm going out of town with a friend and our kids. Well,I'm packing my food. I have lost 5 pounds in less than a week. I eat 1000-1200 a day and walk 1 mile with a video. I'm so excited!!! I have been reading other posts and even though I don't know you all,,,I feel every post. I have now been dieting(watching my calories) for 8 days now,,and that is the longest I have stuck with it in over 10 years. I think I hit rock bottom,,,feeling ugly, depressed, not wanting to go out, and it will change!!!

i didn't decide at first on 1000-1200 calories. i got hungry the first 3 days but i knew my body would have to adjust to it. i basically eat 3 times a day at the same times. i found that helps eating at the same times or around the same time. i rate my hunger on a scale of 1 - 10 and eat accordingly. if i have had 1200 calories and i get hungry again and my hunger is at a 5 i will get something around 200 calories with a huge glass of water. i never starve. i just eat enough not to be hungry and it works for me. usually i don't even get hungry at 1200. also,,i just do a 15 workout video a day that equals 1 mile. i personally don't like exercising so i'm not gonna push myself too much. i was a more active person before this weight and hopefully i will be again. thats how 1200 calories came about. the trick is,,,it's not like if i've used up all my calories and get hungry i will starve. i will go over if im hungry but most of the time i am not. just the other night,,,i got hungry right before bed. i put about 2 cups of frozen broccoli and cauliflower and steamed it and put a little Parmesan on it with a huge glass of water,,,and it curved my appetite and i was fine.

I am another who has tried all the diets ( or so it seems ) and found calorie counting works best for me.

Good for you! Calorie counting is the only thing that has worked for me in the long term. I know I can manage my weight for the rest of my life by watching my calories and with regular exercise. The fad diets and restrictive plans are just short term results in my view.

i have now after trying every diet over the past 12 years that DIETS DONT WORK!!! Its all about calories in and calories out
