I was wondering if any one has, or has had a lot of pelvic area fat? I know... tmi, but I am hoping there is some knowledge on if and how it goes away with weight loss....

As someone who's been 290 to 160 to 230, I can tell you that it does come off- and goes right back on, if you're not careful. That's one of my embarrassing areas as well.

I seem to carry a lot in that area. I'm too self conscious for certain activities because of it. Until it's gone, I'm destitute to the life of a prude.

I know what u all mean. I have what I like to call a "fupa" and it looks like an innertube below my belly button. I definitely don't want to have sex till that thing deflates quite a bit. I believe its gonna be the last thing to go

I have one too!

Just... Not as intense as some of the ones I saw. I'm not comfortable with that much exposure of ANY person.

Sarah and ladies- In nursing school we studied the body and its gaining and losing weight effects. This particular area will "inflate", if you will, when you gain weight. It will also go down once you lose. Unfortunately it could be one of the last things to go along with lower stomach fat. This is due to the lack of muscle in this area. This will be easily recognizable by women who have had children.

Men also have this same problem and if it makes you feel any better- it makes their genitals look quite a bit smaller due to the protruding fat.

FUPA (Fat Upper Pelvic Area). This basically describes the fatty tissue storage in the upper pubic area.

I've always wondered this, but not enough to ask apparently... I don't think I carry much fat on my vagina (wow was that weird to say) but I've pretty much ALWAYS been around this size, so I don't know any different. I do poke it sometimes, and wonder if it'll change...

OMG...I give you MAJOR props for having the balls to ask that question b/c Lord knows I have been curious myself!!! Soooooooooooooo...good to know that the FUPA will be gone at some point...yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!! But I would NEVER let it stop me from any *ahem* activities, ladies...believe me, nobody is thinking about your pubic area fat at that point and time.
