I am starting the IP diet tomorrow and I am pretty excited about it. I have done a lot of research and it seems everyone is losing weight.... I am thinking for the money that I will be spending that I will be scared to eat any extras!
I know I will be here from time to time with questions, hopefully stay on track and report my progress.
Do you have to purchase the IP products at your local distributor? I hear there is a HUGE markup... any internet sites that sell these products at a lower cost?

Welcome!! It IS a lot of money, but ask any of the ladies--and gents--, it's well worth it. A lot of people on the diet order alternative products from Lindora. It's not exactly IP food, but it is very similar, so just check the nutritional info, and try to stay on protocal. Some products are up to 50% of the IP cost. Check out the other threads for alternative options to cut costs! There are lots of smart people around who are losing tons of weight, and not breaking the bank!!
Hope to see you around more

Thanks Taylor Mayde.... Did you just start the IP? How is it coming along for you?
I'm interested in finding out what Lindora items people are buying to replace IP foods? If people could share that would be great
I've been on for two weeks today. Been on the board for about a month now I've lost about 10 pounds so far--official weigh-in tomorrow-- but I did have some complications over the weekend that stalled my loss a little bit. I'm still happy with my results though
Did you check out the Alternative Ideas & Tips thread?
thanks everyone... I am very happy to have found all of this wonderful information and many inspirational people.... I am looking forward to shopping for clothes and not being disappointed or upset when I have to buy something.... I used to be very outgoing and I find that I avoid functions because I just don't feel comfortable in my own skin. I know that will come. So I take it people weigh in every week?
what's with Walden Farms products? Are these things we can add to the IP diet? Some of them look pretty good... salad dressing would be good since that is a staple item. Which ones do you like? What is a sample daily menu for you like? What about jello... I heard there are foods that have some sort of collegen to aid with cellulite... true?

You do weigh in every week, most of the time with your coach, but if you're doing alternative you can do it yourself. It's just nice to have someone else holding you accountable.
Walden Farms are as needed. I NEED them with almost everything I HATE the blue cheese dressing, but I love the peanut butter with a little coconut extract...strange I know. The jello is said to aide with cellulite reduction. Cucumbers do too. I also use acai berry crystal light to help out with that. Plus it tastes like koolaid
Each coach has a different view on WF products, crystal light and so on. Ask them about these things, as they stall weight loss for some people because they are sensitive to the additives. The jello people talk about is IP brand, and it has beef collagen to help with skin elasticity. Same with the blueberry drink.
If anything try to get in all your packets and supplements. When you don't eat exactly on plan (even the salt and fat and veggies) you won't lose as much. You learn what packets you like and hate. I hate the savoury ones, and I use the puddings as shakes (minus the banana, that is nasty). Your coach will tell you all about the restricted yummy packs that are to be limited to 1x a day like bars, oatmeal and chili. And yep, you pretty much have to buy the products through them, or you can get alternative products but then you will lose the coaching which is pretty important to some people as this diet is very hard.
thanks for the information! I will be sure to ask today when I start the IP diet. I couldn't even sleep last night... not sure if I was excited or if I am wondering if I can do this... ahh... we shall see!
Thanks those products will sure help I'm sure. What's everyones daily menu consist of?
I'm cooking for one so that colors what I eat and buy. Heavy on spinach, mushrooms, cucumbers, cabbage, asparagus, and broccoli. Easy because I love them and they're so versatile. Alaskan wild caught salmon once a week alternated with sushi quality tuna or ono. [Ono is the Hawai'ian word for good and this white fish is good. The other six days I eat organic chicken breast, Dover sole and filet, each cooked in their own juice. I don't usually eat much beef but this is locally grown, grass fed, no antibiotics from local cows. [Don't ask what kind. I'm the person who thought, when I was little, that there were two kinds of cow: Herbert and Agnes. My level of sophistication hasn't changed much.]
