Talking Starting today

and I need all the support I can get!

I've done Nutrisystem and was about to try Jenny Craig when I thought "why don't I just do the Lean Cuisine diet instead of paying for pre-packaged meals through Jenny Craig?"

So I had the 280 breakfast and a 260 calorie lunch. But I hope I can survive this evening . . .

Please don't get hung up on calories if it means your body isn't going to get all the nutrients it needs.

I've learned so much about food and eating in the last few weeks. Protein, fiber, carbs....there is so much to eat and enjoy without limiting yourself to calories. I've made a conscience decision to eat better, that includes more spinach, more chicken, more good fats. I snack on nuts and fruits. Those frozen meals just get so boring.

Good luck with whatever path you choose. Doing what you think might be most successful at is what is important.

Good luck on your journey! Just keep in mind that in the time you pop one of those frozen meals in the microwave, you can make yourself a great salad. Fresh is best in my mind, just be sure you are getting all the nutrients you need. Also, be sure that you are eating enough calories...

I agree with MaddiesMom... When you eat pre packages or microwave meals, you are robbing yourself of the knowing what is really in them, also they all have added preservatives.. You can shop the perimeter of the store and make your own meals and just cut back and eat fresh!! Lean meats and veggies, if you take out empty calories and excess carbohydrates you will feel better in the long run and actually have a good chance of making that "lifestyle change".. You can't live the rest of your life out of a box... Good luck to you!!
