So, I watch ABC Family, and for the last week, they have had commercials for a new show, that they have decided to call "Huge." From the commercials it looks like a fat camp setting. For some reason, the name bugs me. It's like, in my personal life, part of my negative self talk is calling myself huge. Anyone else seen the commercials, and anyone have any thoughts on the title?

I saw the commercial last night. That's how I refer to myself too, only i put the emphasis on the huuuuuuuuuuuuge part. When I saw it, i said that is so rude. I definitely won't be watching it.

I watch ABC Family, and I also saw it and was bothered by the name. Most of ABC Family's prime-time shows are mainly for young adults and feature skinny teenagers. I feel like a show with the name HUGE featuring overweight teenagers is in bad taste. Reguardless of what the show is actually about, it gives a negative connotation. I wont be watching the show.

It certainly has a name that would not entice people to watch, I would think. Not me, anyway.

I've never heard of it but I guess I'm the only one that isn't bothered by the name? *shrug*

"She's not just fat, she's huge!" Yeah. This is what I think of when I hear the word 'huge.' I'm very turned off by the name.

It is not like I would watch the series anyway, but the name holds the same disdain with me as the 'Biggest Loser'. I always disliked the double meaning in that name, at least huge is being rude upfront.

Other than the name (which is the same name the book has) it looks like a good show

The series is based on a book called 'huge' that is about learning to accept yourself no matter what size you are. I can't see anything wrong with that. The teenager in question wants to be huge, as a revenge on her parents who send her to fat camp, but that's just part of the story of course.

The name is supposed to mean also that the main character feels she is huge as in a huge star I believe. Its supposed to have 2 meanings...not just literal.

I've never read the book(s) so I can't attest to what the name actually means, but if anyone watches it post if it is any good.

Oh, I'll watch anything once. I'll be watching it's premiere and will decided from there. If it's anything like "Secret Life", I will not be watching long! I got addicted to that show even though it was AWFUL!! Best thing I ever did was turn it off.
