Default a fat day

I'm having a fat day.
I've been unable to go to the gym for a couple weeks now because I got hit by a car and messed up my hip really badly.
I tried to go last week and it near killed me with pain.
Last night a couple girlfriends and I went for a tiny walk and played a sloppy game of volleyball, and again, my hip is KILLING me. I could barely get out of bed this morning the pain was so intense.

SO, partly because of that, I'm having a fat day. I look in the mirror and I just see fatfatfat

I have a "date" tonight and I'm sooo tempted to just cancel it. It's not actually a DATE date, it's just a get together for coffee type thing, and I don't want to go because I feel revolting. Only thing is, his phone is broken so I have to wait for HIM to call ME. Blah.

Somebody smack me out of this funk I'm in?

hit by a car, oh my! you know what, when I have one of those fat days, I fake self confidence (fake it till you make it). I always remember that other people's perception of me is completely different of how I view myself (we are usually extremely harder on ourselves). hope this helps

Thanks. I'm trying to fake it but I'm just too grumpy. I need to snap out of it!

ok, I may be too late but I say....
Go take a shower, start the day over, fix your hair and makeup, put on something you feel good in and go have coffee.
You will be glad you did!

Tomorrow will be better!

Good luck on healing.

Last year I sprained my hip in track.
The last thing you want to do is strain
it. Even though it may be tempting,
try not to exercise. The more you hurt
it, the longer it takes to heal.

This may be a dumb question, but have you seen a doctor? If not, please go see one. An untreated injury could mean problems for a long time. And if you did see a doc, and you're still having so much pain, perhaps go back. It could be that they missed something!

Jessica, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident and your hip pain. I hope you find relief soon. For now, just do what you can. Don't push yourself. Your body needs time to heal. These things take a bit of time.

I ditto JayEl - did you see a doctor? If you're still having so much pain after a couple days, you might have fractured something. At least you'd get good pain meds! (bad! bad! that's bad!)

Exercise is such a good motivator for eating right, I know you're probably going through a hard time stay on plan. Just be kind to yourself.

And uh, tell us how the date went. Some of us have to live varcariously!
