Default Nutritional info/calories in fresh garbanzo beans?

I haven't had any luck finding this - I mean, garbanzo beans fresh out of the pod, raw. All I can find is the info for canned beans - google is not being my friend . Does anyone know where to find this info? The only thing I found was something that said the calories are vastly higher than the canned beans, and it didn't seem right.

That seems really wrong to me when 1oz canned is 35 calories. :/

Honestly, I would just use canned calories - I wouldn't think it wouldn't change the calories much. Maybe I am wrong though?

I think that it makes sense for the dried beans, but not the fresh ones. So yeah... I'd say that sotypical is right - go with the canned.

I agree, it makes sense for dried beans! I didn't even know you could by chickpeas no canned, not that I ever really looked though either...

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the canned. Dried beans weigh so much less than fresh or canned (because of the lack of water) that they will have higher calories per oz than fresh.

I didn't know you could get them fresh either, but my friend picked some up at the farmer's market and gave me a whole bag of them. I'm not a canned garbanzo bean fan, but the fresh ones, in the pod, eaten raw, are fabulous!
