The type of workout you do has nothing to do with whether or not you get loose skin. It has to do with genetics, age, highest weight, how long you were at your highest weight, etc.
I started with weights but start with whatever you like.
Loose skin will depend on a lot of factors i.e. elasticity of your skin, the amount of time you've been overweight, etc. etc.
Starting out just doing cardio can't hurt, any exercise will help you. what you may find is that you want to tone your muscles, and you will need to do weights.
I myself was not a fan of lifting weights so I forced myself to hire a personal trainer who showed me exactly what I needed to do and also forced me to go to the gym and do the workouts. I think it's pretty much guaranteed as you get closer to goal you will need to step up your workouts and that would include weights.
Trust me, I've been there, I've lost 70+ but I incorporated both cardio and strength. Good luck!
I have just recently started on weights. Frankly I figured every cardio workout I did at 200+ lbs. was automatically a weight/resistance workout because of the extra weight my body was lifting to do any exercises.
I didn't formally exercise for the first six or so months I was losing. The only reason I started was because my loss had slowed down. And as was said above, exercise has nothing to do with the condition of your skin after weight loss (although it's possible that doing strength training may help your muscles fill out the areas where fat used to be, thus reducing the appearance of looseness...or maybe it won't).
Its not that I just dont want to i know nothing about what parts which days how often. Stuff like that
There is a weight training forum here that is great, you could ask these questions there and I'm sure you'd get great answers. But in the begining I did only cardio then added some weights in when I was ready. In my personal opinion weights are mandatory because there are so many benefits to incorporating them. You don't have to do a ton, I only strength train 2xs a week, but I can't stress enough what an amazing difference it's made to the shape of my body. Also, muscle burns more cals than fat. If you're worried about loose skin, muscle will take up some of the space left behind by the shinking fat cells. But in the end you should only do what you are comfortable doing and what you feel you can continue doing throughout your weight loss and into maintenance. As you lose you will likely find yourself wanting to challenge yourself to do new activities and you may want to hire a training or something to help you learn how to strength train. Good luck!
Do whatever you will do, whatever doesn't depress you to think about. There is PLENTY of time for tweaking as you go--all of us change during this process.
I started with just cardio, and really, not much of it. Early, early on I think the most important things about exercise are 1) forming the habit/learning to make that time a priority (and not the most important thing after everything else) and 2) really basic conditioning, assuming that you are in really bad shape to start with (as many 100+ people are).
Pretty much anything will accomplish these two goals, and they are the foundation of an effective exercise way of life that will speed up your weight loss and help you maintain it afterwards.
I initially started with cardio only. After I lost about 45 pounds then I incorporated one resistance session per week...I know do one with a personal trainer and one body pump class. When you consider how much I have lost my skin is pretty good...and I am 42 years old...do what you can and works best for you
