Default It's really true! It WORKS!

Hey guys! I've been at a plateau for nearly a month now -- actually gaining a pound or a pound and a half despite a new workout routine.

Well, I checked many different calorie calculators after reading here because I've been doing the same 1500 calorie diet my mom put me on as an obese kid, not knowing any better, and I saw that I should actually be eating 1800!

Being hungry from moving more, I tentatively decided to give it a try, and I broke my month-long plateau with a 4.5lb WHOOSH this week! Wow! I was so scared, but it does work after all!

Thank you for posting. I eat pretty low cals (1200-1400) and have been plateaued FOREVER! but too scared to increase.

When you did the various calorie calculators, did you put in an activity level? I have been reading that a lot of people just put in sedentary, but I work out 3-5x a week and that would increase my cal need even more. Just wondering if you put in your accurate activity level or not?

Thanks so much guys!! And in response to Lisa and Molly - yes, I did put in my appropriate exercise level! I work out 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes a day. Give it a shot!
