Greetings From Pennsylvania
I have been a lurker to these forums for a few years. I read daily, but have never posted. But part of my refocus to my weight loss goals is to start becoming more active here. I am a stay at home mother of 2. I have been on this weight loss journey since just after November of 2008. As of this past monday (my official weight in day), I have lost 57 pounds. When I started I weighed 275, my current weight is 217. I am also a type 2 diabetic. My blood sugar numbers are very good, thanks to my change of how and what I eat and of course exercise.
I have come a long way, but still have a ways to go.. My first mini goal is to get to 200 pounds. From there I think for my height and body structure 170-180 would be a good main. Right now I am trying to figure what a good calorie intake for the day should be to lose 1-2lbs a week. Currently I am doing 1700-1800 a day. I'm 33 years old, and 5 ft 7. My exercise is circuit training mon-fri for 45 to 60 min. On the week ends I try to rest my body, but if I choose to exercise it is on my treadmill. According to my polar heart rate monitor, doing the circuit training for an hour can burn close to 1000 calories, that seems high, but from what I have read the Polar HRM are pretty accurate. Any who, I thought I would make my first post to say hello and get some idea on if I am eating enough calories and such. Thanks for your input in advance!
