HI! I am new to 3FC and discovered this site while looking for South Beach recipes.
The reason for me trying the South Beach diet is that I have PCOS and need a low carb diet since I am insulin resistant but newly diabetic. I finally made the decision today when my vision was acting up because of a blood sugar drop from not eating all day and being in the heat. The other reason that I want to make this lifestyle change is for my 9 year old daughter. I don't want to be a "skinny" mom, I want to be a healthy mom for her and to teach her healthy eating habits (when she is at her dad's she does not eat well).
So here I am!
