Default Working through stress

Hello everyone, sorry that I've been MIA for a while, it's been the most stressful last few weeks I've had in years. My husband's father passed away and we had to travel up to Chicago for the service, my brother in-law is getting divorced, and my teenage daughter has had quite a few deep, dark issues that have been popping up and needed attending too, daily. I found it incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to find anytime for myself, and by the time it was all said and done, I was emotionally and mentally exhausted and just collapsed into bed to begin the cycle again in the morning.
It's been a long two weeks but I'm ready to get in the groove of taking care of myself. I needed to make this post for accountability, I need to not have this turn into an excuse to give up and walk away, it's just a bump in the road, no more, no less. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck, just means I needed to address what I had to at the time and move on.
All my goals are still obtainable, two weeks does not make or break anything. I ate well, stayed on target, just wasn't able to make the time to exercise, man does my body feel it too and it's not very happy.
So you'll be seeing me around again, and if you don't, please feel free to give me a kick in the rear, I'll know it's out of love.
Take care
Faith

Faith- I'm sorry you've been having a rough go of it and am glad your back. I was wondering where you've been. Glad to see you back and hope things settle down and improve at home.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I gotta say, I respect your reaction. Good job and best of luck getting back into the exercise groove!

Hi sweetcakes, I'm so sorry to hear about all your stressful situations. Sometimes we can be just riding around through life, everything cool, then all of a sudden, BAM! UGH, I hate that!

I just wanted to chime in to say that I'm really impressed. You were venting about how you needed to be accountable for the bad 2 weeks you had, etc, and I was thinking, "uh oh, she musta put a hurtin' on a box of twinkies or ate an extra large pizza by herself!" Then I see that you just didn't have time to exercise for a couple weeks. Not trying to make light of it, and I'm sure your body is feeling it! But just goes to show you are really on top of your journey and you must have a pretty good relationship with food these days!

I know you didn't really mean to inspire me by your post, but I hope with some time and practice, that a "bad couple of weeks" for me will be that I didn't make the time to exercise but still ate on target! Way to go!!
