Red face hey there strangers,

I'm a newbie from England, couldn't really find anything else like this where so many people are willing to help each other in the (seemingly endless) struggle to lose weight!

I'm 18, so very young, never thought I'd have a problem like this at my age. I always thought I'd be out having a good time and not worrying about what I look like. In the past 2 years I've put on a lot of weight, and my confidence has dropped a fair bit.

Don't really have many people I can confide in about my problems, and most of my friends are stick thin so I'm pretty alone.

Confidence building tips would be very much appreciated

Hello and welcome! I am glad you are joining us. This is a great place to come for advice and support. Come here often.

I don't really have any great insights into building confidence, but I will tell you that making progress towards my weight loss goals has helped increase my confidence.

I wish you the bese on your weight loss journey!

Cheers,

J

Welcome! This journey can be long and frustrating but it is definitely worth it. I know you can do it. Stay focused and set small goals for yourself. Good luck.
