Red face I felt a re-introduction is required :)

So here I am, back at the one place that just seems to keep me going!

I joined here in Nov I believe when I started my weight loss journey, one of the reasons I was trying to lose weight is I had been feeling sick and ill all the time for over a year. I realized I just couldn't be fat and happy and had to do something about it.

So I started browsing around here, and losing weight. I lost a bit, but felt sick so much that I just stopped. Around Christmas time the effort tapered off and then just disappeared.

So I quit smoking, and though I was reaping the health benefits of that I was still sick every day.

Nauseous, constant sinus infections, multiple bathroom breaks and irritable stomach. I thought I had IBS for awhile because of my distended stomach and constant bloating and pain.

Now I've found I have a gluten intolerance, I've been gluten free since April and I feel better every day! I started getting the courage to weigh myself again and was lucky to find I did not gain much back. I now have a much healthier diet due to the restrictions and it makes being good a lot easier.

I've been working out for over a week now and going for walks, and I weighed at my lowest in two years on Saturday, at 176 pounds. I'm ecstatic to be back in the game and feeling good!

I've spent a bit of today going through the goal and mini goal threads and I feel inspired more than ever and I look forward to being apart of the community again. This place moves me in a way nothing else has, and when I hit my 20 pound mark I just may post some before and after photos

Yikes, it sounds like you've had some serious complications get in the way. But you've STILL pushed through it and you're stronger because of it! Congratulations on your 18 pound loss!

Welcome back to the board! We're happy to have you back!

Lightbulb me too!

hi
hey i'm back too.its been over a year for me.i too go back to what works.i have no excuse at all.but luckily i am back to what i was weight wise. in the time off. i relized iam addicted to carbS! i admit i lovecarbs but they worked against me even if i was watching calories. so iam on low carb diet i can eat 2 low carb meals and 1 meal( usually dinner )of anything including carbs but at a resonsible portion. funny thing is im NOT AS HUNGRY. Go fiqure!
so my second day of really watching it....down .4....not much but it is for me. i cant diet with others (friends) cause they always lose faster than me.so this is the best way for me...little at a time...and no competition and no one watching what I EAT! oh i hate that...lol.
