I had to little by little adapt to jogging as well. I started out jogging, very slowly, for one block then walked for 1 or 2 blocks then jogged another block etc. Now I can go 5 blocks without feeling like i am going to pass out :P
I was not very "regular" before this healthy start of mine either. Now I worry if it is only 3 times

. You will get there. I get 3 servings of fruits, veggies and 1 serving of nuts ever day as well as fish and either oatmeal or eggs in the morning ( i switch it up). I also eat 6 to 8 small meals a day :P This works best for me because it keeps my metabolism going and I never feel too heavey or tired through out the day. You have to try things and see what works best for you. definetly think about keeping a journal. I wouldnt have been able to get very far without mine
