Talking Wellness program = Bacon????

This just made me laugh today, so I thought I'd share. I went to a local hotel to attend a class put on by one of our companies (I work in insurance). Anyway, they were going over a new wellness program that we can offer to our clients. It is a great program and I'm really excited about it.

But...

It was in the morning, so they had breakfast available, if you wanted to eat there. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs and cheese, sausage, bacon, and sweet rolls. There was no fruit, unless you want to count the orange juice.

I just had black coffee, since I already had a healthy breakfast. I just found it to be very ironic. Ha!

Do as we say, not as ......................

At my workplace we had a fundraiser for the American Heart Association and sold hotdogs, chips, cookies, and soft drinks. No one else in my office thought it was as funny as I did!

lol- though for me I enjoy eggs and bacon for breakfast and it fits with my low carb lifestyle

No fruit? How SAD.

I had a similar thought as beerab about the low carb - maybe the person planning the event is on a low carb plan and that seemed like the perfect breakfast, esp. since most of the time, events like these are almost always a carbapalooza fest!

Actually, that's a breakfast bar that I would be able to pick from. I need protein, and limited carbs at breakfast. Most of my breakfasts are based around either protein smoothies, eggs, or cottage cheese.
