Default New Calorie Counter here!

Hey guys!

I've been around the diet block a few times.. I've lost this same weight a few other times in the last 7 years and here I am again. Making this THE time by learning how to eat for life instead of just doing an unsustainable crash diet for 2 months.

I'm using the Loseit app on my iPhone and it's been going pretty well. I've lost 5 lbs since I started on 4/22. Probably all bloat but it's still motivating! I'm a 27 year old female.

I've been reading these threads and there's some great ideas and tips

Welcome! I've just returned to the forum. I've realized that my weight loss efforts were all wrong, and that the only way to make it work is to "do the math"... less calories in & more calories out.

I also want to learn how to eat for life. I'm sure we'll both find inspiration here!

Yep, I'd think the majority of us have rounded that "diet block" a few times, lol, myself included! But when that light bulb finally goes off, girl it sure does SHINE! I know that is time I'm serious and that this time it's happening for sure.

I love calorie counting because you get too see exactly how certain amounts of calories effect your weight. Once you've been at it for a while, you'll get it down to a science and you know how your body will react to certain foods.

Good luck with your journey and we're glad to have you here with us!! Congrats. on the 5 pound loss, by the way! :-)

Hello
I am on my second round of calorie-counting. I did it for a year quite easily and got plenty of nutrition off limited calories. It kind of sucks when eating out or going over someones house for dinner, but portion control should take care of things when you don't have the opportunity to calorie count from a wrapper or your own food...
Bets of luck starting off on your counting-journey
