Default Horseback riding NSV

I finally don't feel too big to ride!! I've been riding again since last summer but have lost even more and am happy to say I feel "normal" on a horse! I don't look at pictures and think dang... I'm too big for this.

Here's me having a blast and learning western horsmanship and reining!

I ride English. It is so great being smaller. Learning to canter. Teacher asked me my weight so I can go on a smaller horse better for cantering. Proud to tell her
Now I need to develop thigh muscles for gripping!

Awww!!!! That's terrific-- I used to ride a whole lot and gave it up when I got big. Getting back in the saddle has been one of my BIG goals! I wonder if I'm little enough now... when I used to ride a lot I never weighed over about 175.

That sounds like so much fun. When I was a girl I always wanted to learn how to ride. I have not considered it as an adult. Maybe I should.

Mmiller - Paints are SO gorgeous!!! I'd love to show some day. We had horses growing up but never got to show any. They were trail horses, for fun.

Karen - my thighs have gotten SO much more muscular since riding. I LOVE that affect of it! LOL. We do a lot of posting even though it's western. That crap hurts!

ubergirl - if I'm little enough you are!

Cheryl - you should! It's great exercise.

Lesliesmom - I'm moving in with you! LOL. JK. My goal some day is to train horses. Right now I'm only qualified to halter break a foal and green break but I'd love to train and/or show. I know I'm older but that's ok. Better late than never! Reining is so fantastic! I never imagined it'd be as exciting as it is!!

I look forward to my thigh muscles strengthening. That was why Petey nearly threw me on a lunge line! Twin teenage sons are cantering around the arena. Geeze.
