Default It's Not Fair!

Just taking a minute to rant about the age old issue of men versus women. I bust my butt and lose 2 pounds. My husband sneezes and loses 6! Okay...well, that is an exaggeration. But, I don't see that he's worked at this as hard as I have this week. Not at all. It's just not fair.

Okay. Rant over. Back to my regularly scheduled life as a woman.

Yeah, I hear ya. Are you strength training though because that's why men lose better than women. They have more muscle mass.

Yeah, I have the same complaint. And the fact that my husband eats junk rountinely with no weight gain is also not fair. He is a very thin person and if I let myself I would be one very bitter woman--LOL!

It's not fair, she cried! Okay, joining you in my regularly scheduled life as a woman

I'm completely with you. My fiance can cut down on sodas - not stop! just drink one less a day - and he's back to high school weight. I would have to get liposuction to be back to that weight.

But many men find that their forehead grows with age too At least we don't lose our hair quite so much as men do...

But yes it sucks that they can lose weight easily...

I agree, it's just not fair and it stinks! My husband can cut out beer (and it's not like it's a lot of it) and will loose twice as much as me in a week (while I am watching every bite). He's already lost all he needed to, so at least now I don't have to hear his weekly numbers any more. :~)

I have 120 to lose. Hubby has just over 100. He will probably be at goal within 5-6 months. However, my great consolation is that I get to enjoy my slimmer, healthier and...dare I say, friskier?....husband very soon. Oh la la!

There's a silver lining in everything...

I totally get what you mean... it can suck... It is hard to struggle and look at someone else and think their bodies seem to be more cooperative. I actually stuggle with this with my sister. She can skip the junk for a day and drop 4 pounds... I even look at a piece of cake and I gain 4 pounds the next day. LOL.

And it's even worse than that. Look at this article. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/18/ma...ise-t.html?hpw

Kae -

I'm right with you - I see others posting who are eating way more calories than me but losing way more weight! (and trust me, I tried eating more calories to see if that magic would happen for me but nope!)

I guess this is one of those grass looking greener things - chances are that no matter how quickly or slowly the weight comes off, there is someone else out there losing MORE quickly or slowly! lol!
