Default fitness DVD's help losing motivation

Hi gals I am going through a rut again. I'm at my wits end with the fitness videos. Just about every exercise I try I get bored and completely unmotivated to do it. It drives me insane. I even try to put on some uplifting and motivating music and I still get bored. This is very frustrating. Tried CLX ( didn't have weights to do it) the resistance band were not helping, P90X and Insanity ( can't get into), I have BBL however I only like one workout. 30DS is something I can tolerate only level 2 and 3, but it does get old after a while. Did turbo jam too, but after discovering Zumba ( not the videos) the class that's out.

I know I need some variety in my workouts but if I don't have the motivation to do it, to me its moot. I don't want exercise to feel like a chore. Like with dieting I enjoy the foods I eat, I just make healthier choices. When I dance not always zumba, ddr too and dances, I get excited to do it, that's how I want to feel with the videos.

Are there any videos that get creative with their workouts? I'm fairly active so I need something challenging. I just need to drop these last few pounds and inches. I'm hoping you gals can help.

Maybe it's just the being alone and doing the workouts at home that is bothering you? Maybe going to a class with live bodies would help? Good luck!

I too get bored easily with DVDs. I trick myself by mixing them all up. I dont do straight programs like Insanity and CLX. I'd do 30 Day Shred twice a week (different levels), I throw in one Pilate DVD, and the other two days I'd do Burn Fat Boost Metabolim and another DVD like Taebo. I do this because I dont want to anticipate every routine. I want to be surprised.

Thanks Annie I can't really afford a gym membership as of yet, and I know that I won't really use one even if I get it. Unless its swimming.

Zamzam, that is what I tried initially but I would become unmotivated with one DVD and then put in another and it was the same I just don't feel that "spark." I hate to sound "picky" or just making excuses, but if there is anything that I learned this is a lifestyle change so when I committed to getting healthier I made sure I did things I didn't mind doing to make the journey easy and less of a hassle. I love the little accomplishments that I have made so far, I just need to get my exercise routine's straight. Every one seems to find something that works for them while I'm stuck in the dark. At least that what it feels like.

devadiva I don't think I mentioned it on this forum, but I like dancing. I do DDR ( dance dance revolution) and watch Zumba from youtube these are my passion since I LOVE music. I am doing some of BBL to get some toning exercises in.

I tired tae bo ( sp) way back when it first came out otherwise I don't know too much about kickboxing.

Try one of the cardio striptease videos from Carmen Electra. The "In the Bedroom" one is GREAT (but you have to literally do it in your bedroom). The way they are set up would be good for you since you like to dance, she teaches you a routine and you go through it step by step and put it all together. It really gets your heart pumping.

The other suggestion I have for you is this video:
Ballet Conditioning It's NOT EASY, but it's really fun and makes me feel graceful.

Good luck!

Do you like step aerobics? I find Cathe Friedrich step aerobics pretty fun and the music is awesome. Her choreograph can get a little dancy(dancey?sp?)too Check out Low impact circuit or maybe body max 2 by her...i never get bored.

Ive always wanted to try a zumba class...i hear there a blast!

Good Luck
