Default LandRollers???

Hey all-

I was just wondering if anyone owns OR knows anyone who owns LandRollers. (www.LandRoller.com) They look like fun and like a good workout and I've been thinking about getting a pair for myself as a reward when I finally reach Onederland. However, at about $200, they are an investment so I just wanted to see if any of you fine people had ever tried them before and could offer an opion...

Thanks!

Oh man. I would love a pair in a heart beat. Too bad I'm not coordinated enough to try rollerskates on!

They look interesting, though! And I hope someone has more input than I do!

Do you already skate? If you are not already regularly skating, then I would suggest getting into it and seeing whether you really enjoy skating before investing in a pair of skates of whatever kind. Most cities have an indoor rink you can go to, where skates are included as part of the price of admission. Some cities may also have outdoor areas with skate shops nearby where you can rent skates and then play in a park or something.

My husband and I have been getting into skating lately, but I am nowhere near wanting to invest in skates--skating is difficult and challenging, and I want to really know what I'm doing physically before trying to figure out which skates are best for me. (I skated as a kid, but I find now that I need some strength-training and balance training before I will feel as comfortable on skates as I used to be.) We go to an indoor rink for fun on dates, and over Memorial Day weekend we may go rent skates at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

I don't own any currently, but yes, I have skated before and don't really have an issue with it. Regular rollerblades tend to hurt my arches and so I was looking for something a little different...
