Jenn-
I went to a Rememberance Service this morning down town. It was nice. They had a minister there from the Baptist Church. Methodist Church and Episcopal Church. I'm not sure why there wasn't one from the Catholic church, but I am sure he was asked. The lady organizing the whole thing is Episcopalian like me. So I know she would have asked the Catholic Priest.
They also had other leaders from the community singing. The National Guard presented the colors. Everyone there said the Pledge and we all Sang God Bless America. It was a nice service.
Other than that, I'm just saying a special prayer of thanks to all our men in Military Service who fight to keep our country free. I'm thankful for the non-military ones too, of course. But to be honest my mind has been on the military ones as of late especially with 9/11 being here...
Lastly I said my daily prayer thanking God for all he does and asking him to contine to keep Kevin safe while he is deployed. I'm just so thankful for the people who are willing to give their lives in whatever job they hold to uphold the freedoms that mean so much to all of us here.
God Bless America,
Betty
