Intro
Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to formally introduce myself. My name is Lisa, I live in Baltimore, MD and I started Atkins 17 days ago! I ordered New Diet Revolution on my first day of the diet and have been reading since it was delivered. Shame on me for not reading it first, right? Still, I think I have been doing alright. I have just about quit caffeine (I'm down to a small cup every other day) and have stuck to around 20-30 carbs a day. I haven't been doing induction as I should - I just naturally seem to want a few more carbs. I realize had I read the book first, I might understand the need for induction more and be motivated to do it right. I actually only counted for 3 days because I have a pattern of being obsessive about counting on diets (calories/fat in the past) and getting sick of it then quitting the diet altogether.
Still I have lost about 6 pounds so far! I feel fantastic and really love this WOE.
My plan is to not try to up the approximate number of carbs I've been eating until I'm close to 20 pounds left to lose (I believe that is what someone said the book says :-P need to get to that part). I think I will stay away from fruit that long, though I am really excited to start enjoying some berries.
Anyway, thought I'd say hi!
