Default Don't forget to Post your minutes for March

Wow, another awesome month!!!

Just wanted to remind everyone to post their minutes on the thread!! We've already beaten last year's March total but hopefully we can end this March at 20K or over.

April will be a bit of a challenge, we gotta get over 23K but I know we can do it.

WE SO KICK BUTT!!!! I'm so proud to be a part of this community and I'm in awe of how much we can accomplish when we work together.

All my love
Faith

I'm curious as to what counts as exercise, or is it really just what we consider it? I mean, I tend to only count instances where I've set out to exercise, and not instances where I've been physically active but it's part of my job or my daily transportation (I walk everywhere that's within 5k, after that I bus). What do you guys think? should I be counting my walking to and from places, or things like mopping at work?

well neon, I think it depends on you. I don't believe there is a right or wrong answer. I count whatever gets me in a sweat and what is in addition to my average day. I think you should could your walking, I count when I walk to and from the store or bank or post office.

neon -- I agree, it's personal. What I count has changed over time. When I was just getting started, I would count walking my dogs around the block for 10 min as exercise, even though I didn't get my heartrate up. But counting it motivated me to move. Now I don't count usually count it, unless I keep my hr up -- which means jogging in place while they do their business.

I do count some of my yardwork as exercise, because I am active, and sweating and it motivates me to do more of it. But I might count only some of the time I'm working, if not all of it is hard work. I think if it were part of something I had to do I might not. For instance, I don't tend to count housework, but maybe I would if making it "exercise" would make me work at it harder...

S0 we leave it up to the individual to determine what's exercise for them. We just want you to be moving and count it with us!!
