Hello, my name is Stacey, and I'm 19 years old. I joined 3FC a while ago, hoping to truly get on track with my weight loss goals. Let's just say that life happened, and I got off track pretty quickly. But, I can't live this way anymore. Not only is my self esteem low, but I get out of breath by small amounts of physical activity, my body aches so easily, and I'm just not the healthiest person. I'm afraid of the health problems that this could, and probably will cause in the future, if i don't get myself going. I can't do this anymore; looking in the mirror depresses me, and I can't take it anymore.
Please, everybody on here. While I have my family and boyfriend for support, I need to correspond with people that are going through the same thing. So we can help each other.
Thank you
Stacey

back! Stacey, I am positive that I am not speaking only for myself when I say that I completely understand your struggle. All of us on 3fc are here to support you and cheer you on!
Life can make things like losing weight even harder than it already is. Irregardless of your weight, you need to know that you are a beautiful person inside and out. It is great that you realize that it is more than about physical appearance, but also your health, which is the most important! Excess weight adds a lot of health issues. Let's get rid of these pounds together! You can do it!
Thank you for the kind words. I guess it's just really difficult to get started. I had actually joined a gym in January, but it didn't work with my schedule, and I didn't have the money to be paying for it, if I never really got the chance to go. I'm looking for things that I could do at home, as far as exercise goes. My family actually has a full gym worth of equiptment, it's just a matter of getting it set up. My parents both suffer from chronic pain, and cannot move, a majority of the time. So, for the time being does anybody have any exercises I could do at home, without machines? Also, does anybody have any ideas for healthy meals that are affordable? Being a college student isn't cheap
I have a gym membership, and I find myself never going. I'm glad I only got a 3 month trial. Anyways, I do most of my working out at home. I do Taebo and a really fun favorite for me is Turbo Jam. You can rent them at the library if you just want to try them out for now. I just started doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred about 3 weeks ago, and it is a great workout for only 20 minutes. There are 3 levels, which makes it not so monotonous. I got it from Target for 9 bucks. Hope this helps some!
I know this sounds a bit silly, but I have to go up about 40 stairs for my lunch break at work and there is a restroom up there also. Whenever I go up to get lunch or use the restroom, I go up the stairs, back down, then back up them again (my speed depends on how many people are around and actually paying attention to how ridiculous I must look). I've been trying to incorporate stuff like that into my life since I have a really hard time deciding that I'm gonna go WORK OUT. It seems so daunting, so finding little exercises you have to do during the day anyway and repeating them might be something to help.

Maybe I'll check out some workout videos like that. I need something that I can begin slow with, and work my way up. I've always worried about those types of videos, because I always get the idea that they'll be really high key, and I won't be able to keep up, but I suppose that I could get ideas from them, and set up my own routine. We're also redoing our living room, and I'm looking forward to setting up my Dance Dance Revolution. It's fun, and it'll be a good workout.

That's not silly at all. That's actually really helpful. When I do small things throughout the day, I don't really think that it does much good, but I also don't think about the fact that if I did it more often, or multiple times, that it could really do me some good. Thanks so much for the idea!
