What is your calorie range per day according to them? Do they calculate that by what you say your goal weight and time is? Or how do they get those numbers?
My range is 1720-2070. I feel like that's high compared to what I see around here for what people are eating per day.
I use sparkpeople, but I got my calorie counts from freedieting.com (from the advice of alot of other chicks on this forum) and I just punch them into spark people to follow by! You could try that?
And that range seems pretty good for your height and weight!
My range is 1200 - 1550. I just signed up for it a few days ago so I'm still getting the hang of it. If there are any particularly great things you've discovered, I'd be glad to hear about it!
I use sparkpeople most just to track my calories too... and I started out at a pretty high calorie limit too (don't remember what it was exactly). As you lose weight it lets you know that your calories needs decrease and gives you the option to update your weight, which adjusts the calories. So far eating their recommended calories/fat/carbs/protein has worked really, really well for me!
My range is between 1250 and 1570. I also exercise 5-6 days a week. As everyone said, as you loose you can update your weight and the calories will adjust. I have been using SP for a year and it has worked really well.
I use Sparkpeople with a range of 1200-1500, I usually eat towards the lower end, although once a week or so my calories will probably hit 1600. I checked the freediet website and they suggested my 'extreme fat loss' calorie number was 1305, which seems to be about where I try to eat. I exercise about 5 times a week and spend at least an hour a day walking to and from classes.
