Default People that use SparkPeople?

What is your calorie range per day according to them? Do they calculate that by what you say your goal weight and time is? Or how do they get those numbers?

My range is 1720-2070. I feel like that's high compared to what I see around here for what people are eating per day.

I use sparkpeople, but I got my calorie counts from freedieting.com (from the advice of alot of other chicks on this forum) and I just punch them into spark people to follow by! You could try that?

And that range seems pretty good for your height and weight!

1,420 - 1,770 with 30 min of exercise a day, 6 days a week.
Don't forgot that age, weight and height all play a role in your calorie amount.

I usually aim for 1200-1300 during the week and eat more on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's not totally working for me... yet! lol

Jenny - That website says for Fat loss 2003 and for Extreme fat loss 1752.

LOL ... I wish it was EXTREME ... oh well. I guess at least the range seems right all around.

My range is 1200 - 1550. I just signed up for it a few days ago so I'm still getting the hang of it. If there are any particularly great things you've discovered, I'd be glad to hear about it!

I mostly just use it to keep track of my calories/food. I haven't done much else with it!

I use sparkpeople most just to track my calories too... and I started out at a pretty high calorie limit too (don't remember what it was exactly). As you lose weight it lets you know that your calories needs decrease and gives you the option to update your weight, which adjusts the calories. So far eating their recommended calories/fat/carbs/protein has worked really, really well for me!

My range is between 1250 and 1570. I also exercise 5-6 days a week. As everyone said, as you loose you can update your weight and the calories will adjust. I have been using SP for a year and it has worked really well.

I use Sparkpeople with a range of 1200-1500, I usually eat towards the lower end, although once a week or so my calories will probably hit 1600. I checked the freediet website and they suggested my 'extreme fat loss' calorie number was 1305, which seems to be about where I try to eat. I exercise about 5 times a week and spend at least an hour a day walking to and from classes.

I use Sparkpeople mostly because they have a great iPhone app that automatically updates the web version. Love it!

Anyways- my calorie range is 1200-1500. I try to stay on the lower end of that.

I thought the # of calories I burn a day was rather low (1800). According to some sites, my body burns a lot more than that a day.

They've got me on at 1,340 - 1,690 calories...I usually fall on the higher end right now.
