Curious if other people have lost more than 2lbs per week in the beginning of their weight loss?
For example, I was 210/211 ish and I've been hovering around 202/203 the last couple of days and it's not even a week on my 1500 calorie diet plan yet.
The whole 2 lbs/week is averaged over the course of your journey. It's very normal to lose a lot in the first month or so, but then the numbers will slow and eventually you'll probably average around 1-2 lbs/week. In the first 6 months I lost an average of 3-4 lbs/week, but now that it's been a year the average is much closer to 2 lbs/week.
I lost four pounds last week (my first week of improved eating). If the next weigh in is a loss again, I expect to be down about a pound. I dropped things like caffeine, soda, chips, and fast food, all of which I was having in large quantities, so I'm not surprised at a good first week. It also depends on how much you've got to lose - starting out at a higher weight may yield higher loss numbers up front.
The first 1 (and for many 2) weeks for many people tend to be freebie big numbers. Getting your system cleaned up, losing water weight, etc, all lead to unreplicable numbers.
My 15 weeks have been the following, note I'm a guy and tend to lose a little faster than most ladies...
