Default Hi everyone!

Obviously I'm new here. I'm currently 293 I think I don't have a scale. I want to get healthy...yes of course I want to look good too, but my main concern is getting healthy and having the energy to do things with my kids and start moving and doing things. I am the type of person that makes every excuse in the book.
My problem is I just don't really know where to start. I have done weight watcher's before and it worked fairly well for me. I can't afford to go to meeting again, but my friend has all the stuff I would need.
A little back ground on me I am a divorced mom of 2. They are with me most of the time. Their dad usually takes them all weekend. I do like to go to the bar on the weekends, as I'm single and bored.
I just read this and it is all over the place but if I have to take the time to re-write it I won't so I'm just going to post it and sexcuse my rambling and jumping form subject to subject.

Basically, I guess I'm looking for some guidence on where to start, should I do weight watchers or do you guys suggest something better? Ugh, I guess I just need help!

Thanks to anyone that read this far!
Have a great day!

Hi and welcome! There's a lot of great advice on here, and I'm sure once you start reading and poking around the site, you'll have a better idea of where to begin.

You might want to start tracking what you're eating (what, and how much) and any exercise you're doing, and then post that and ask for advice. There are so many great sections to this site - info about healthy eating, info about activities (like alternatives to the bar, if you're interested) and lots of great people who are very supportive.

Good luck!

hi! I'm new here, too!

I did weight watchers with my mom when I was younger (like 15.) The meetings really aren't necessary when you think about it. As long as you have the materials and calculate everything yourself. My grandma and mom are both lifetime members!

As long as you set guidelines for yourself and make sure to stick to them! I think you'll be able to rely on the people here, too. This seems like a really great place

nice to meet you!
