Well, hi!

This week is exam week, and I'm taking advantage of the different schedule to go to the gym this morning.

I'm hoping to jumpstart a new "I CAN" weightloss attitude.

Spring break for my high schooler, so we're going to busy ourselves with cleaning the garage. Boxes and "stuff" have invaded my gym area, which doesn't make for a happy, clutter-free time while I exercise. It would be nice if he cleaned his closet too. It's starting to look like mine!

I'm soaking some beans for the week ahead. It's week one of Georgia's vegetarian experiment. I'm already thinking about steak and eggs for breakfast, something I have once a decade. My youngest loves the British breakfast beans, but they've got sugar and bacon in them. I'm going to stick with steel cut oats today.

Arm is doing so much better today. The end of week three on the splint is coming up and I'm looking forward to getting back to my weights. In the meantime, walking, walking, walking!

Have a lovely day!

Georgia -- We've spent some time cleaning the basement the past week or so. I couldn't work out there ... too creepy! Now it's much cheerier and cleaner!

My dad is sick again and I was stressing and binged on skinny cow fudgesickles(5). At least it was calories I could work into my day...still not a good choice of food. At times yesterday it was pretty much tough and go with daddy. He was awake last night and some what better. Guess we will find out more today when his reg dr is back on duty. He has fought a long hard battle since his stroke 5 yrs ago.

I plan to get outside today and enjoy the weather even though its going to be a tad cool.
Im trying the minimeals my dr suggested and so far I hate it. I will keep trying. Its hard to eat a heavy snack and hardly nothing at meal time...guess its a brain thing. I agreed to give it one month.

heather- want to come and help me clean out my basement?? ITs the catch all in my house!!

geo- glad your wrist is better. My youngest is on spring break from college and im praying she cleans her room also.

judy- great job on being pop ...I will do better today! My calories were still right even with my binge.

carol- hi and hugs

Deb, Hope the news on your Dad is good.

Wish I'd binged on Skinny Cows last week rather than what I did eat. I wouldn't be working as hard to dig myself out of a hole this week. Still POP.

Hi All - mixing it up after getting absolutely perfect lab work back. Upping my calories and cutting back a little on my exercise. There are no better words to hear from your doctor than he has never seen this type of results in a 52 year old. This hits home after the stress I have put my body through for most of my life. Think after this series of personal training sessions is over I'll stick to the class environment and see how that goes - by then maybe it will warm up outside to and I'll be able to get some exercise in the sunshine.

I survived and was successful with minimeals yesterday. I do admit it seems like I was eating alot but calories came in at 1500. My goal for today is to make those meals include more veggies. I was always grabbing a few chips or a cookie when the kids got snack time now Im grabbing and apple and a T of pb. My plate at meal time is skimpy but scales are down today.
Spring is in the air and so is pollen...sniff sniff
Dad starting running a fever yesterday so we know he will be in the hospital for a few more days. He is a super strong man and I feel his love for my mom is the only thing that keeps him fighting to live. They still hold hands daily.
Carol- in no time at all you will be working on all your pool stuff and flower pots. Im so thrilled you got such a positive report!!!
Judy- way to go on being pop again...we CAN and MUST do this

Morning all!

I'm trying to finish my final grading today, and prep for a weekend away (visiting the inlaws), and take a few minutes to enjoy the gorgeous weather!!! Everything seems better when it's sunny and 60s!

I'm behind this week but it looks like everyone else is too.

I lost 1.8 lbs at WI on Thurs. so I only have 1 stray pound to lose before I head downward again. This should be an easy weekend. No big challenges.

Off to agility class with the dog, then groceries and maybe some birding. Rain tomorrow so I'm putting off laundry til then.

Deb how're the mini meals going?

Off to enjoy this early Spring day.....

I give up on the minimeals...
I am gaining weight rapidly and I dont like it. TOm is here and I decided to change my ticker to what I weigh today.Im not happy at all with it. Its time for me to become self- centered and put myself first again. I feel heavy and bloated and miserable.I am the only one who can change it.

Deb - I don't do the mini-meals because it makes me feel obsessed with food, and I'm too easily distracted to keep to a schedule of eating. And I always ate more. I don't think it's for everybody.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I pray he gets well soon. My dad's fighting cancer, and he's becoming more frail. It's hard to see when he used to be 6'4" and full of vigor.

Sorry I haven't been around recently. Life full and busy. Happy to report wrist all better and doctor is going to let me start a new beginner Pilates class at the end of the month. In the meantime, I'm doing some physical therapy to strengthen my wrists and shoulders, and I'm making a point of walking to the store, with my funky old lady cart, to do my marketing. It's gorgeous outside now, in the low 70s, flowers in bloom. No excuses!

I've been on WW for a month now. During the first two weeks I lost 2 lbs, then nothing else. So I switched to vegetarian WW and I've lost another 3 lbs. And I'm finally on track with daily points without feeling deprived. We'll see how this continues for me. The day I break 300 lbs is when I'll do my big victory dance. Would love if that would happen for my by the end of May.

I got a job this week. Well, a project. A friend I've known since middle-school owns the local healthfood store, and she has a second store in another town an hour away. I have the opportunity to redesign her website. She's been doing it herself, and it shows. You can see it here. I'll let you know when it's all done and you can check it out. I'm hoping I can parlay this project into a series of re-vamped websites for small business owners. And I've decided they can pay me in goods/services instead of cash. I can do this sort of work at home, while I'm home schooling my son, and still be free to help my parents.

And, I can exercise all I want in throughout the day! I am most excited about that.
