I'm a masters student preparing to write a screenplay about a tarot card reader. I was wondering if anyone here knows enough about tarot to pick their brains or, even better, is a tarot card reader, even just as a hobby? I'd love to ask you some questions.
I've been doing some reading on the internet so far.
What do you know about stellarosa? I have lists of what the cards each represent but I'd be more interested in a personal side - like if you've had a reading how the person conducted it, what questions you might have asked and the answers you received, etc.
SeventeenTheStar, I'd definitely be interested in asking you a few questions. I'll PM you
Anyone can PM me if they would like to chat without doing it here on the boards.
Thanks in advance!

This is a really good beginners book for your reference. I was more into the tarot when I was getting divorced and needed some guidance. I did not use it as a divination aid, just something to help me try to be mindful of things in my life.
I usually don't go into them with questions - I suck at that part - but um...I know once the reader was talking about how I was intertwined with one other person, and how our souls were connected - and then I asked about my love life and she was like wait, you're not WITH that person? Like I shocked the tarot reader...thanks CB, thanks a lot. From the cards she was able to tell that there is some sort of blockage between us, preventing us from "fulfilling our destiny" - we get close, then we bounce back.
Also, she was able to tell, from the cards that I chose that there was a lot of tension in my relationships - which was true.
Another time, a different reader was telling me, based on the cards, that I ws surrounded by a presence (or I was reflecting that myself) of a water sign, and it was protective - my mom was a Pisces - and that was kind of weird, but comforting.
Um...My other readings were more palm/aura, not so much cards. (I go once a year around Halloween for fun)
I've had readings done and also own my own deck but just play with it on occasion and haven't really "learned" my deck per say.
I will say this... personally, I believe that when it comes to things pertaining to current situations or "the future" that a reading can be right, however, I believe things can be set into motion to CHANGE said future. Meaning, if things continue on the same path they are at the current point im time, it could be very accurate. If something changes, it could entirely change the outcome and the reading would be inaccurate.
The few readings I have had I do not STATE my question outloud nor do I give up any information for a person to read into.
I also believe that when you read your own cards... you are opening and allowing yourself to receive messages from your higher (more intuitive) self.
From the cards she was able to tell that there is some sort of blockage between us, preventing us from "fulfilling our destiny" - we get close, then we bounce back.
Also, she was able to tell, from the cards that I chose that there was a lot of tension in my relationships - which was true.
You mean she KNEW from what you told her about your relationship :P Sorry, I'm a skeptic
I agree it is all good fun, but I know a person who took it far too seriously and has based their life around a reading they got, which made them unhappy for a long time and haunts them still i think. So I think people really need to use their brains before taking it too seriously

Glad this sparked such a discussion guys Feral, you and I are on the same wavelength - I think it can be accurate at that point in time but that a lot of things can change your situation and then it isn't. I'm somewhat skeptical but it's something that interests me, therefore I decided to use it as a topic for my screenplay.
Thanks for all the input! Feel free to add anything you like, I would love to hear a bit more about your experiences.
