I HAD to go to the store today to get stuff for DH's care packages. I haven't been in 3 weeks (maybe longer, but 3 weeks ago was when I started changing my life, so that's how long I've been paying attention :lol) and I was really nervous that I would walk in and suddenly lose my mind and grab everything in sight. I have very, very bad impulse control. BUT!
I made it out of there with only healthy stuff for me!!! No chips! No cheez its! No cookies! No giant block of cheddar! No cream cheese! No ritz with american!!!! YAY!!!!! I'm so proud, even though it's just a small victory.
On another note, my cart was sort of amusing to look at, because some of it was fresh veggies, fat free 100 cal popcorn, walk away the pounds dvd...and the other half was just PILED with junk, almost overflowing, every kind of prepackaged, nuke-able food you can think of. Now the real challenge will be not to eat anything I bought for DH. I'm going to try to box it all up tonight so it's that much harder to get to :lol
Just had to share, because I'm so happy!

The grocery store is the hardest place for me right now. I do ok at home where I can just not have junk food around...but at the store, all my favorites are just right there, waiting to be snatched up
I was also scared to walk into the grocery store the first time. I intentionally skipped the chip aisle and bakery and just had my husband pick what he wanted then place them in a separate cupboard when we got home. This was about the time I discovered Leslie Sansone videos as well. I am a huge fan now with 13 of her videos, the belt, weights and tension band too. I highly recommend sticking with her videos, they are great.
