Talking I love my gym!

The gym I go to is very small. It is family owned business with 24/7 access. I work out late so when I go there are at most 3 other people there. Well, anyway, the owner of the gym works out at the same time I do. He always makes sure to say "Hi" to me and calls me by name. Yesterday when I was working out he decided to give me a free shirt, just because he loved how committed I was to coming everyday. I was having a bad day yesterday, and it made my day. I felt like I was appreciated for me. Other gyms I have worked out in the past I have felt like a number, that they didn't care if I came as long as I signed a long contract so they could continue to get money from me.

I liked this gym before yesterday for many other small reasons, but now I love it and will be loyal to the gym.

That's awesome! I love my gym, too, but it is a big YMCA, so not quite the personal touch that yours has.

I completely agree with BigMikeNYPD.
I love my gym and that really helps. The trainers always say hello and try to know our names. It is also really cheap (university students have discounts so I paid 244$ for 10 months) and right next to where I study, which is a big big plus as well.
I'm happy gym is a good experience for you too, utgirl09.

Your gym sounds great! I love small businesses with personal customer service, it makes me feel good too. I belong to one of those ugly corporate gyms. The only people who will talk to you are trainers trying to hustle for personal training clients. Oh well, I just plug my headphones in and watch TV.

that does sound really nice. I joined fitworks a little over a year ago and hate it. Too many people and it doesn't make you feel welcomed there. Needless to say me and the bf are wasted 50 dollars a month on a membership we don't use because we can't get out of the contract!

so yay for you!!
