Lightbulb Something to Think About

Hey Everyone! I was just thinking about something today... whenever I get depressed over only losing 1 lb in 3 weeks (my own darn fault anyway, but that's neither here nor there! lol) I just find something that weighs one pound and carry it around. If I'm sad, I get something 10 or 20 (the total i've lost) pounds and try to carry that around for a bit.... that usually gives me some strength and confidence to go on!

Default you are so right, apryl!!!

it's a pound of butter!! someone, i think it was hmmmm. bethanne? inca'smom? dana?? posted that ONE POUND thread, and it was very interesting...

a pound takes up a fair amount of space... so, you go girl!!! you're doing great with your 20 pound loss. and we had no idea you were doing so well!!!

you have to come back and tell us these things more often!!!!

Hey, thanks. Well, you just have to look at the bottom of my posts to see my start weight (June of 2001) my current weight (that's in the middle) and my goal weight (which i've not yet changed.) I think i'm going to go look for that "one pound" thread... i love reading old threads, and I love "the library" too. Have a great week! -Apryl

This is one of my favorite things to think about. I just go pick up the dog's 40 lb bag of food.. and say... "Damn. I've done good!" Just think about the fact that its 4x that amount of pressure you've taken off your hips and knees and back!

4x that amount? How ever much weight you lose, 4x as much pressure is removed? Cool!!

I think that's what it is, I know for sure that 4x your body weight is put in pressure on your knees
