Default Tired of being fat!!!

Hey everyone, My name is Sarah and I am finally gonna kick this fat in the a$$. I am tired of being fat and I'm tired of being tired. I want to start loving myself and feeling like I am worth something. Being this weight I feel worthless. I want to be that sexy girl my husband said I was when we first got together. Losing this weight will definitely improve our marriage and my self esteem. I have about 140lbs to lose and I know its not gonna be an easy journey. I've lost a lot of weight before but I always went back to eating unhealthy and gain it all back plus more. The highest weight I have ever been was 303lbs. Before that my highest weight was 260. I am totally commited to losing weight cos in June I will be moving to Korea to be with my husband and I want to feel comfortable during the 15 hour plane ride, I don't want to feel like a stuffed sausage in my seat.lol. I need support and encouragment from any of u ladies who are/or have lost ALOT of weight.

That's great that you made the decision to get healthy !! I know what you mean when you say you're tired of being tired. I feel the same exact way ! I have been working on my weight now for almost two weeks. I started South Beach Diet about 10 days ago and I started P90X for fitness yesterday. I know it hasn't been a long time for either but I already feel great about myself and want to keep moving fwd.
I know you can do it !! Good luck on your journey !

Thanx Platinum. I've seen alot of people mentioning P90X, but I have not looked into it. I need to start exercising cos my body doesn't really lose that much weight unless I exercise and I have so much more energy when I do. Thank u for the encouraging words. I know I can do it, I just need to stay on top of myself

sar, so many of us have stood in the place you stand today--yep, we can identify with your feelings..i know the path seems far but the truth is it's actually the SHORTCUT--everything will be easier when you become fit..don't think about 140 pounds--think one more pound, one more pound--that is what I did..

Hey Sarah! Congratulations on your decision to get healthy! It's going to be a long difficult journey but I'm sure you know that! I have a weight loss goal similar to your's. When I officially started dieting last year was after I went to the doctor's office. I weighed in at 311 pounds. I almost died on the spot of shock. I lost 30 pounds over the summer and then proceeded to put some of it back on again. My goal is to be at 145 and I would really like to get most off before my birthday, which hopefully I will be celebrating in Vegas! Plane rides are terrible for me too, it's just so awkward and I always pray I get the aisle seat, I'll take being bumped in the arm with the cart over being squished in the middle! I've lost 12 pounds in the last 3 weeks, which seems pretty fast but I've been counting calories and trying to exercise at least 30 min a day. I thought it was going to be horrible but it's truly not that bad! I would suggest counting calories, works for me! Good luck!!

Thank u Thighs and farn. I've been eating healthy, but I have not been counting calories. I think I need to do that cos I've only lost 5lbs and the scale has not budged since. I've done the South Beach diet before and lost 43lbs in 2 1/2 months. I exercised an hour and a half everyday, six days a week. But I was 40lbs lighter then my current weight when I started that hardcore regimen. I am taking it day by day and I have not had cravings for sweets or fast food since I started. I am sooo proud of myself for not giving up the first couple of weeks. I am just thinking about my long time goals and thats what I am striving for.

yes I believe the hardest time is the initial first weeks definitely. That's the easiest time to give up and call it quits. Good for you for not doing that!!! You will be so much happier in the end! What I have done is stopped thinking about my long term goal and am focusing on the little 5 pound goals. They seem much more attainable and it's exciting to just say that you "reached a goal." I went through the same thing where i stopped losing after only being down 5 pounds. I just kept at it and actually started drinking more water. It took about another week but then I started losing again. So i think it was like water weight fluctuations or something. Keep up the good work! Korea is going to be a blast!
