Hi Breanna~ I'm just coming back after a long time away myself. Enjoy the gym membership! I also need to work on a food plan. I've gone way off track. I think we're in the right place though. Welcome back!

I started back a couple of months ago. I have been able to make exercise a more regular habit now, and I hope that will help. I am not losing much weight currently, but am definitely more toned.
Of course, we all know muscle weighs more than fat, so don't get discouraged about weight if its not coming off quick. There can be other reasons and getting fit will help you burn fat in the long run.
It hasn't been easy staying motivated and going it regularly, but the results start to show and makes you feel more positive!

Hi there. I remember you! Good to hear from you once again.

Having that gym membership is one part of the equation. I'm glad you've got that covered.

Now to that all so important "food" part. After all *they* do say (& I agree) that weight loss/maintenance is 80% food/20% exercise.

So yes, finding something that you CAN stick with and are WILLING to stick with is ESSENTIAL. Challenge yourself. Be creative. Seek out new and healthy delicious foods to eat. If you're eating yummy foods, yummy healthy, lower calorie foods - than this life style is much easier and more enjoyable to stick with, because you won't miss the *other* foods. The higher calorie not so healthy ones.

It is also vital to plan out your foods in advance, having the right foods on hand and the wrong ones out of your house, so that making the right choices is easier.

Remember be creative. Experiment. Scrounge around the internet for healthy yet delicious foods to eat. Don't dread these changes, but look forward to them. Adhering to a healthy lifestyle is no burden or hardship or deprivation. It's a joy and a blessing. The true deprivation is EATING *those foods* and remaining overweight and not living up to your full potential.

I look forward to hearing of your progress.

I just started back too. I started a weight loss twitter hoping that it'd be harder to go off track if I knew people were reading my journey everyday. I hate letting people down so by doing this maybe (hopefully) I won't let myself down!

Goodluck!
