Question Hi Newbe needing help with sugar on WW!

Hello, hope someone can clear this up for me....I cant get my head round the ww points for sugar....
I weighed out 3 teaspoons full [ok,very full!], and it came in at 20g. So, by the booklet it is 2points. [5g = 0.5 so 20g = 2]
But, by the ww calculator 100g = 5.5points so 20g is 1.1points.Obviously it should be rounded up to 1.5.
So I am very confused! Is it the 2 points according to the booklet, or the 1.5 points according to the calculator? Really hope someone can help!

My leader always recommends the calculator as it's more accurate and therefore can save you points sometimes. Personally I would go with the calculator over the book any day. They are obviously rounding up to get the half a point for a teaspoon, but if you're having several it obviously gets less accurate the more it's rounded up, so by calculating based on the larger amount on the calculator you're likely to get a more accurate point count.

Welcome BTW! Feel free to join in our February challenge. I just checked on esource and according to the points tracker on there it's even better news. I checked it as both 4 teaspoons and 20g and it came up with 1 point. Thinking about it, 1.1 would be rounded down to 1 so it's not all that surprising. I think the general train of thought is that another time the points might get rounded up slightly, so not counting that 0.1 of a point will not make any difference.
