Default Michelle's Wedding-Body Blog

Hi everyone! I used to be a posting fiend on 3FC but haven't been on here for a few months. But now I'm back, and I'm ENGAGED to the love of my life, my college ultra-crush, Patrick. <3 <3 <3 He is everything a girl wants- tall, dark, and handsome, athletic bod, the most supportive best friend a girl could have, sensitive, but still hilariously 'male', and we are completely in love. I am just so happy I want to burst.

But anyway, I'm blogging here for my body. I ordered my wedding gown one size smaller than they measured me at, which shouldn't be a problem since it comes in at the end of May. Also, they can take it in up to 3 sizes smaller than what it comes in, so that's a nice goal as well.

The lifestyle plan: Dr. Furhman's Eat to Live. It's heavy on produce and is based on nutrition, not calories or fat. I was on this before in the summer and did great, and now I'm going to make it my permanent lifestyle.

The exercise: Mean circuits written up by my trainer, running a 5k with my bridesmaid in April, and spinning. I have a gym membership, tons of DVDs, Wii Fit, and tracks within walking distance. There are NO excuses!!!!

ZERO alcohol until the wedding unless it's at a wedding-related event, or a holiday or anniversary. No more having wine on a casual weekend where there's not some special event going on. This worked well for me last summer.

Motivation: I keep reading in diet and weight loss books to WRITE IT DOWN! But I never have. I don't know why, but I think I was afraid to put it on paper. Well, last night I took different colored markers and wrote a bunch of goals down on post its and stuck it my wall and mirror. They display my measurement goals for my dress, and another says, "Perfect is Awesome."

To explain the "perfect" post-it... I'm a perfectionist for everything I do except when it comes to sculpting my body. I've been successful at everything except attaining my goal to be thin. I think I've purposely held it back... maybe because I believed that I can't seriously have it all, can I? But if I tell myself "Perfect is Awesome", I think I'm giving myself the permission to create an amazing life. It's weird... I don't know why I feel like I've had to hold back on this one thing for so long while trying my best at everything else.

So my measurement goals are the smallest they can take it in from the size 18 I ordered, which is a 14 (a wedding store's size 14, which is really like a 10 in real life?)

Current Bust- 44 Goal Bust: 39.5
Current Waist- 38 Goal Waist: 31
Current Hips- 46 Goal Hips: 43

Looking forward to blogging and keeping myself accountable. I will do this!

Hi Michelle and congrats on your wedding! I am also a big fan of ETL and am thinking about dusting it off. I see you have a 3FC blog link, but haven't signed up for one? Here's the link if you're interested in blogging:
