Default What would you do in this situation??

Hi Everyone -

Monday at work I pulled my back hard enough that the darn thing went into a major spasm! It was still hurting yesterday so my boss sent me to the doctor. I am off work with muscle relaxants until I go back to doctor tomorrow. I was told I may be out for another 5 days!

I have another weigh in Saturday and am dreading it! I am still doing well on the plan and am tracking. I am staying within my points. I can't exercise right now.

But...and this is the kicker: My husband & I have tickets to Riverdance tonight. We have planned this for months; dinner out then the show. I was planning on "chucking" the plan for one night and just enjoying myself.

The doctor said I could go, no problem. But now I am freaking out thinking since I can't exercise maybe I should just stick to salad?

My husband is upset because we've planned this WAY ahead and feels I should just "enjoy myself" tonight and get back on track next week.

What would you do? Go and have fun and just start again tomorrow or realize with no exercise right now, I need to stick even more to the plan??

Losing weight is about changing your lifestyle. You are re-inventing the way you "have a good time".

I think you have to ask yourself - do you want to gain this week? Maintain? Loose?

It's quite obvious to me that you KNOW what to do to obtain each eventuality. Make a choice and be confident and happy with it.

Morton, I love your quote about "re-inventing the way to have have a good time" what a great way to look at things!

Tin - Your husband says that he wants you to "enjoy yourself." If you eat a huge meal worth a million points will you be able to enjoy the show? Or will you be sitting there counting calories and feeling miserably bloated from all the food?

I guess my answer is that I would go and have fun AND stick to the plan.

I would go and order what I wanted (within reason) and only eat half. I'd be proud of myself for eating only half and proud of myself for being able to "let loose" once in a while.

Default My Husband Came Thru!!

I am so proud of my husband! He just texted me to tell me he had made reservations at a restaurant near where the show is playing. In the text he wrote: Check out this link to their "Salad Room!".

They have a gourmet menu but.....an entire room called, "The Salad Room!" I looked online and its filled with every item you could possibly want to put on a salad!! I called the restaurant and they said they have 14 different LOW CAL dressings!

We've never been to a real show or this restaurant so for him to check out the menu beforehand, well...I just want to tear up! It means so much to me that he thought to check on this.
