I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I couldn't find anywhere else to put this.
I have a question about my breasts.I currently have monster-sized boobs, I wear around a 40DDD, and I'm just wondering if my breasts will shrink as I lose weight.I'm worried that I'll reach my goal weight of 120 lbs and still have breasts too big for my body. But I don't want them to shrink too much either. Has anyone else had this problem as well?Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
it varies but i was a 34DDD at my highest (180) and am now a 34 DD or a 36 D according to victoria's secret at 140ish lbs. you will lose fat from all over your body however you may find that will not be as supple and may still be bigger than you like. i know many people get lifts and reductions/augmentations after they are done losing weight. i personally would like a lift after I get to my goal. i want perfect perky breasts...but they are definitely much less of a pain than they used to be. it gets better i promise!!

dear oompa, i'm sure you will get many replies on this thread because plenty of women have had breast size problems.
i just started my journey, but i remember last time i lost more then 50 lbs, i definitely lost it in that area as well, so i'm pretty sure you will too. if your breasts grew with your weight, they will downsize when you lose the weight.
it comes to this: a significant part in our breast tissue is fat tissue, and it 'melts' just like the rest of our fat does during weight loss. there are women who have larger breasts by nature and whose breasts react to weight loss much less, so it is individual, but some change definitely is likely when you lose weight.
whatever the case, you will feel much better and beautiful while losing weight, so don't worry - you will look great!
I'm almost at 40lbs down and I haven't lost anything in terms of cup-size, just band size.
However, my mom lost like 80lbs and didn't lose anything from her DDD breasts; she ended up with a breast reduction to make herself more proportional. That being said, I think its rare for women not to lose anything like she did. You'll just have to wait and see, i suppose...
I don't think you have too much to worry about. Your breasts will get smaller just like the rest of you does, but I doubt that they'll shrink down to nothing.
When I lose weight, I swear that my boobs are pretty much one of the first things to go.. but it all evens out in the end. I'm 220 pounds now and wear a 40DDD, but when I'm 140 I wear a 36D..so, they're a lot smaller in comparison, but still not really small.
I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up at a similar size when you reach your goal.
Oh, I've been there sister. I went from a 38DDD to a 32 DD right now. I love my size and think it's perfect (though, a standard "D" would be nice, too). The only problem is the lose skin around my boobs but what are you going to do...
Yeah, your boobs will go down, I'm sure. No worries about that. It may just take a while but I'm sure it'll happen.
at 155 wore a 36C and now at 123 i wear a 34B. I prefer my smaller boobs. When they were big they looked very jello-ish and weren't as perky. Generally weight comes off of your whole body, a little from everywhere (even your boobs!)
I am 30, I have already lost down from an all-time high of 276lbs, at which I was wearing a 36GG or a 38GG. I am now in a 34 or 32 G-GG. (Depends on maker, and TOM) They aren't standing up and saluting, but they face outwards, not downwards. I wish I would have lost some. But it may be that you don't lose much, and it may be that they don't wrinkle too badly. They're a little less plump than when I was a sassy 19 year old, but hey - it's just hubs seeing them now anyway, and he's a "butt man". Gravy.
I don't think you can predict. I'm down nearly 65lbs but have only dropped one cup size, from H to GG which is still huge. However band size already down 6 inches so proportionally, getting even "boobier" than I already was!
I personally lose a lot of cup sizes when I lose weight. I went in to talk to a doc about a reduction a few years ago and he said that is was mostly fat and to lose weight and start doing pectoral excersizes to firm. I hope the same for you. I have been a 40DD and at 130 I was a 34 C
I'm having the same issues. I'm a 44 j. I need to have a breast reduction but waiting to see if I lose weight. They have been a problem for a long time. I'm ready for them to go. I'd be happy with a DD or even DDD. However I know I'll need some nip tuck. I just don't want to be off work 6 weeks.
Boobs do shrink. I've already dropped a cup size and 3 band widths. Sigh, at my age though, I'm gonna need some crutches after this to hold 'em up.
Forget age, I'm only 30 but I dread seeing what mine will look like after losing this weight. 3 kids in 7 years with a total of 6 combined years (and counting) of breastfeeding have left them significantly less than perky *sigh*
