Question Where did you get a calorie count for alcohol?

I was wondering which website have you used to get counts for alcohol drinks lol.

Also anyone know why the nutritional facts arent posted on them? I always wondered about that.

The average beer is about 150 calories.

The average wine has about 275-300 calories per 12 ounces. Of course, one glass of wine isn't usually 12 ounces. Only in a perfect world! You might drink half as much wine as you would beer, making wine slightly lower calorie.

Mixed drinks are about the same. Gin & tonic or vodka cranberry have about 300 calories per 12 ounces. Margaritas are very bad: they might have about 750 calories!

Hope this helps...the lowest calorie drink is vodka soda...my personal fav! Actually I bought raspberry vodka instead...delish and low calorie! Topped off with a slice of lemon.

Have fun!

I havent actually been drinking lately since Ive been trying to stay OP. But I know lots of folks post about drinks and I always wondered where the calorie counts came from. Either everyone is as clueless as I am about this subject or just didnt feel like answering because there have been tons of views lol

I drink Tequila shots or drink measured amounts of red wine--4oz. Both are under 100 calories.

Matilda, there can be many many views without a response. We have a huge number of browsers who read the posts but are not registered so don't post, Sometimes we have twice as many visitors as members online.

Just on livestrong or fitday, figure 1.5oz of liquor are probably 60-100 calories depending on the liquor. Plus whatever you mix it with. For me, I think rum and coke (i'd use diet) would be like 200 calories since I make them strong. A glass of wine I heard is about 80 calories.

Most light beers are about 110. Wine is higher but you can drink more wine for the same calories than beer. But shots really are the way to go. Or liquor and diet soda. I'm a big captain and mountain dew fan. Or rum and coke. Or whiskey and coke... haha you get the idea. Shots/mixed drinks have the fewest calories of all as long as your aren't mixing them with a high calories mixer (aka not john colins or margaritas, etc).
