Default A horrible day! Day 2

So today was my Day 2 on this new life journey. And it sucked, so very bad. The day started off really well. Had a yummy breakfast, got to spend time with the hubby (he doesnt get off work til midnight so he's always asleep before I'm up for work and gone), packed my lunch and some snacks, made a meal plan for the day. After being at work I started to get hungry around the time I normally do. Had a snack, an orange. 1/2 an hour later was hungry again, or still, but waited till about an hour or so later and ate my lunch. Had lunch, and was still hungry. Got this massive pounding headache, which I think was from no caffeine. Being a mountain dew a-holic, I drink A LOT of soda. And pretty much nothing besides soda. I was kinda light headed most of the day, hungry ALL day long, really really cranky. Today just sucked so bad. I'm ending the day around 1200 calories. I try to eat 1200-1300 a day. I DIDN'T eat too much, nothing really bad. I did really good. It was just awful. I know that probly after the first week things will get easier. It was just so hard today. It was hard being at work. I thought it would be easier at work, then at home, but it's sooo not! Anyways, that's my day. I did good, but it sucked man. lol

I'm sorry your day was so bad, but bravo for sticking to your plan!
I'm Kim btw, nice to meet you. I've been on and off these posting boards for years..well ok, honestly I mostly just read posts and hardly ever chime in.
Caffine withdrawl really is brutal, so you probably should expect headaches for a few days. Water, as good as it is for you, just doesnt pack the same punch. Just hang in there though it does get better. Your calorie intake seems a bit low..what program are you following?

I agree with your calories seeming low. Have you looked into freedieting.com?
Everyone loses differently but I've read numerous articles saying women should never go below 1200. By starting at 1200 cals per day you won't be able to go any lower as you lose weight and you may hit a plateau.

Just a friendly suggestion!

Good luck with the headaches, I know they suck and are painful but they will disappear after a few days. I remember many times where I just had to go to bed to make it stop! Keep up the good work!

I am on day 3. I don't have headaches but stomach pains. Not hunger pains but I know it's your body adjusting to a new way of eating and digestion. It's probably used to a lot of junk so it's breaking things down differently now, just stick with it. I know even after 3 days I feel thinner, and I can see my bloat is gone. Try to look at those more positive results.

I'm only 15 pounds lighter than you and losing on 1600 calories a day so far.

Maybe tommorow try upping your protein? I know I get ravenous, headaches, shakey if my protein is too low.

I want to second the protein suggestion. And 1200 calories? Yikes! I would be starving.

Thanks for the input guys! I will up my calories today and see if that helps. I ate between 1200-1300 and I felt like I had eaten most of the day! I just mostly ate fruit and stuff. I will add some more protein and see what that does. I'm miserable during the day but man I'm sleeping like a baby at night! Which is awesome. 5 minutes after hitting the pilllow and I'm OUT! Thanks for the support!
