Default Some questions.....

Hello
I just started exercising and REALLY paying attention to what I am eating and how much. Yesterday I made sure to eat every 2 hours, and only ended up with 1,056 calories........the formulas I have calculated all say that I should be taking in closer to 2,000 calories to maintain, and less of course to lose.

My questions are: How little is too little for calories? and last night, after eating every 2 hrs, at 10 pm (3hrs after last time I ate anything) my stomach was MAD---growling, etc. I just ignored and went to sleep and was fine, but will my body get used to that?

Thanks, everyone!

The generally accepted minimum for a woman is 1200 calories. Sounds like you need some more food! Perhaps some healthy fats would help you up your calories and keep you more full longer. I rarely ever feel hungry unless it's right before a meal so I would aim for that. You don't get extra points in this journey for going hungry! In fact, things like that can lead to burnout.
