Default G2010 New Year New Me Challenge

Alright everyone. This challenge is SHORT! It runs from today, 12/21 to New Years Day. This is the week that we set our goals! It is up to YOU to set realistic goals for yourself for the year!

Look at more then just weight loss... what are you going to do to get there? What other aspects of life are you going to work on?

Here's some Ideas for you:
Weight
Inches
Pants/Dress Size
finances/budget
organization (home vs work/school)
nutrition
time with family/friends
water intake
exercise / fitness level
pampering/relaxation

Also - I Want everyone to have a Before Picture. You can either post it for all to see, or send it to me. (I'll keep it secret) I want us to ALL have a reference point. If I could get everyone's Starting weight that'd be good too. I'll pm those to Shari (Jasonslea) or you can if you want. Let's be brave and post pictures. I will if you will.

Hugs
Peggy

Oh for those that want to be part of the challenge - please make sure to go here:

Thanks Peggy for the invite back!

OK, here goes. This has been a crappy year for me and I am glad to see it leave. I was down into the 140's in April, so I know I can, but I just got back out of the 160's this morning. Determined not to see them again!

Weight 159.8 today, shooting for 125.
Pants/Dress Size wearing a 10, will see what 125 needs, but I expect probably a 4 or so.
finances/budget recreate and stick with the budget. Save $500 a month for $6000 in the bank next Christmas.
exercise / fitness level I am going to finish C25K again and we will see what's next after that.

Count me in. 2009 was hard; I ate my feelings through a move to a new country and the death of a loved one. I'm looking forward to a fresh start!

Currently, I weigh 205lbs. By the end of 2010, I would like to at least be down to 130. I'm not really sure what to expect as I get to a lower weight, so I'm weighting to set an exact goal weight until I've lost more--for now, 130 works. It's on the high-ish end of normal for my height (5'3").

I also just want to take better care of myself, inside and out. As of now, I've gotten way too accustomed to running on 5 hours of sleep, hiding my feelings, and plowing through my days without ever really stopping. I also have a tendency to let my eyebrows grow to Groucho Marx level atrocities before making time to get them waxed...So, my mini self-care goals:

-Shoot for at least seven hours of sleep a night
-Wax the f***ing eyebrows once every 2 weeks
-Take at least one weekend night a month to just stay in, curl up in bed in my comfiest jammies, and watch a good movie
-Share what's on my mind instead of just trying to soldier through everything without any help

That sounds pretty manageable, right?

I'm in too! I like the idea of mini-challenges.

I have a whole series of goals, but one I am really excited about is reaching 179, which puts me in the "overweight" category. My nephew is getting married in August in Europe, so I plan to be 179 at his wedding and dance with my own fiance. Hopefully I will be lighter on my feet and more coordinated than I am now.

I'll think about other goals and post them later.

Although I lost some weight in 2009, it was a hard year for me in every other way. I am hoping to start 2010 off on the right foot and get to my goal weight by summer!

My goals for 2010:
Weight: 135 by May or June-ish
Size: I am currently a size 10/12 and I would love to be a size six! Last time I was a 6 was sophomore year in high school and even then it was a little snug!
finances/budget: I have a good amount of credit card debt, so starting in 2010, I am freezing my card and paying off my bill!
School: Get into grad school and start in the fall!
exercise / fitness level: I really would like to become a "runner." At this point, I could probably run 3 minutes max, so I am planning on starting C25K and getting up to running 30 minutes at a time!

Thanks!

XOXO,
Esme

I would love to participate. I really gained in 2009 and I sure would like to feel and look better.

It might take me a bit to get a current pic. My camera died. I do have some about 10 lbs ago on my computer though if that will work.

I weighed 193.4 yesterday

My goal is 136

to get back into all the great clothes in my closet.

Exercise 5 days a week

Follow my diet plan

drink that water

take time for myself every day

check in to the thread daily.

Red face I'm in!

So far this holiday season has been really hard on my diet!

I have been baking for my family and for my work and my husband's work. It wouldn't be so bad but I LOVE and I keep eating them. A little here or there is fine but ever since our vacation in November I've been eating sweets and I think I've packed on 5 pounds from my previous weight of 176.4 which is

I know it isn't the end and I'm looking forward to Christmas Day because I asked for exercise things and I know for sure I got the yoga mat I was asking for so I'm excited about that. I just can't wait for January to start and for all this temptation to go away!!!

But my goals are for this week only and here they are:

1). Eat healthy
2). Don't eat as much
3). Limit sweets to 2 a day at most!
4). Exercise 4-6 times this week
5). Go on a walk if everyone is just sitting around

I really think that this week I can stop my poor eating behavior and overeating and be healthier!

I mean during this I have been exercising and going to the gym but that can only do so much when you are overeating on sweets!

So here is to my 5 goals for this week!!!

As far as my long term goals, my 3 year Anniversary is coming up and I want to be in the 160s!!! So by February 14th I want to weigh 165 pounds or less, which is doable!!!

So here is to some self control this week!!!!

I've been pm'ing people from the 2009 and inviting them to this one. I'm not finished with that little job. So if you want to come back, we want you to, I just haven't got to your name yet!

Hugs

Here are my goals for the year:

1) Reach my goal weight (115) and maintain through the end of the year (or lose more, if I decide I want to).
2) Exercise 250 hours (the real challenge will be remembering to log it, lol!).
3) Save enough money to pay back 1/4 of what we owe MIL.
4) Stick to a schedule for cleaning various rooms/items around the apartment.

Edited to add:
Here's the schedule for cleaning! If you mouse over anything you can see how often it repeats. I love my online to-do list.

Mayness to this challenge, I edited and added your name to the list above. Great goals, I'm going to be working on my house, too. I also like your goal about getting some bills paid.
