Default Back to the me I used to know in 2010!

Hi everyone! I was so please to stumble across this site today! I have a lot of weight to relose again. I managed to start about 15 lbs higher than I am now back in 2000 and lose to 134. I've obviously really let things slip since I'm 193! I gained 23 lbs just in the last year.

I picked my plan ( Metabolism Miracle) and need to stick with it instead of going on and off constantly! I've picked Dec 26 as my start date.

I can't wait to learn how to navagate the board a bit better and meet ya'll!

Merry Christmas!

Hi! I'm new too, and I had a very similar weight to you in 2000 - I was 133 and now I am between 205 and 210.

I'm ready to get moving and back to a weight that makes me feel not so tired all the time!

What is your diet plan about? I will have to read up on it. I was moderately successful with Weight Watchers but it was expensive and I can't attend meetings anymore because I don't have a babysitter, so I'm going it alone.

Howdy! It starts as a carb controlled plan. Nothing strict like Atkins. Only certain carbs are controlled though. Healthy veggies are unlimited. It has 3 phases. If you want see the main website (tons of info) just google Diane Kress and you will hit her site. I'd post a link but I'm not sure I'm allowed to.

If you have any ?'s I'll try to answer them. Isn't it great we have support at our fingertips? I also started a blog on here for more accountability.
Best of luck in whatever plan you do.

Hi Michelle!
Sounds like you're off to a great start with determination and realistic goals -the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help choose the right ones for you and get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee

Welcome thinnerbyjuly! Our stories seem alot alike. Over the years I've gotten down to the 130's only to find myself flirting with the 200 mark. In February I decided to stop the insanity and cut most carbs out of my life. Now I range from 115 to 120 (naked, it doesn't count with clothes on ladies). You can do this! We are all here to offer support and encouragement along the way

Lee thank you so much for such a motivational message! I love it here so far! Very motivating! I joined a challenge and think that will be terrific. If you have any suggestins on what to check out on here~ fire away

TamiL big congrats to you!!!!!!! What plan do you use? I love success stories and you are a great one! I previously had lost all that weight on very low carb but just couldn't hack it after a few years of maintaining and you see where I am now. I chose metabolism miracle this time so I don't have to restrict veggies and can have a few more carbs.

thinnerbyjuly-

I don't use a plan so to speak. I cut out most sugar, flour, rice, potatoes and pasta from my diet. I will occasionally indulge but not often. I also learned that I can eat green stuff with lots of butter and seasoning. The biggie for me was stopping my addiction to drive thru. Before I would go through McD's drive thru for breakfast and lunch on an almost daily basis. Now I really don't care for the crappy food they serve and when I have to eat there, I'll get a small hamb and small fry meal. No more Large meals!
I eat lots of nuts, cheese, meat and veggies now. Fruit, not so much. Its amazing though what a few changes can do for us.

I like you have done this before, maintained for awhile and then right back to my old self. This time I am making a pledge to be more mindful of what I am putting into my mouth. Come this summer I hope to see your goal pics!

Thank you so much Tami! Your plan sounds quite similar to what I am doing. I'm so glad you found what works for you. I can never get over how salty MC D's is. Now since kiddo works there I know I can order a bun-less, no seasoning burger. They serve it in a bowl with extra lettuce and onion and cheese. Not bad for a $.
Congrats again on all your success! I plan to keep updating a blog with pics and I cant wait for the success pics!
