Sundrop~ Congratulations on your lose of 3.5 pounds and 2 inches on the waist !!!!
I tried your recipe for the salad dressing and it was wonderful I think that I'll try the soup recipe this week. Gotta go get my hot lemon water, but wanted to start the weekly thread first. Hope you had a good weekend.

Sil- I'm glad you are adapting to this way of eating so well. I gave myself a free day on Saturday but didn't feel like eating Off Plan much. Though I started my day with some Raisin Bran and it tasted really good. I am starting to feel a little bored now entering my 3rd week. I was going to do phase 1 for 4 weeks, now I'm wishing I could start adding some carbs back today! But I need to lose a almost 40 more pounds and this phase is so nice and effective.
So, today, up at 6:00- 30 minutes on my bike, moderate program

Sundrop~Don't switch over yet. Try 1 more week, or even a day at a time. Then start slowly to transition over to Phase 2. You're doing great!
It seems that we're on the same wavelength as far as food choices today.
LLC
Hot lemon water
1 cup coffee
B~didn't have time (had to run errands)
Early lunch~salad w/veggies, Sundrop's Salad Dressing and 1 HB egg (deviled w/same dressing. (DH ate the left over salmon and there was only 1 HB egg left )
*boiling more HB eggs right now.
S~ HB egg, nectarine
D~ hamburger patty and veggies
S~protein drink, piece of fruit
LLC
64 oz cranwater
I wish that I could also drink as much plain water as you do, but I have gone from drinking only 1-2 glasses of water a day to 64 oz of the cranwater. So that is a accomplishment for me. I'll work on the water. Tomorrow I'll go to WM and Sam's Club to stock up on veggies, salmon, chicken breasts, shrimp and hamburger patties.
This afternoon I'm going to relax by the pool and read a book, then ride my exercise bike for awhile.

Cafe and anybody else who is interested in the fat flush plan ~come on over. It's a great way to jump start your body and adapt to a low carb way of eating.
Sundrop~So far today I have all of my cranwater (less 8oz for tonight's LLC) and I've had 40 oz water I'm getting better at this!

P.S. Today my husband complemented me on my complexion
Sil- you are doing so well.
I'm fighting the boredom factor here, scouring my cookbooks for new ways to prepare chicken in a tasty low salt way. Tonight I'm going off Plan a tad to make a blackened chicken dish, I just need some real taste so badly... I found vegan spelt pasta I'm going to try a little of as well as non-dairy creme sauce base, so blackened chicken pasta here I come.
I have been On Program with exercise and water almost 100%. I think I've shrunk some more, fighting myself on weighing in early!
The backs of my legs are looking really good! Must be the cran-water.
Well, i'm off to Pilates land for 30 minutes, then I get a raspberry protein shake.
I see lots of people reading through the fat flush threads, I hope we get some joining us soon!
It works!!!
really!!
And you won't starve or pass out...
Happy Friday Sundrop~~ The spelt pasta sounds great and it is within the program, so good for you. It sounds great. I would like to try that in another week or so. How did you make the non-dairy sauce? Also, how are you making your smoothies? Are they thick or more liquid-like? I miss the Myoplex Lite Shakes that I used to drink .
I've run out of frozen cranberries so today I'm going to the HFS to get some cranberry concentrate to use. Also, I need more flax seed oil because I've been using your salad dressing mix idea on all my salads and veggies. Yesterday I put just a few drops of Stevia in it and it was wonderful. Great to dip my fresh veggies in.
After being on FF for one week: I have lost 3 pounds , I feel lighter, and my DH has commented on my complexion and energy. Last night we went out for dinner and he kept telling me how good I looked. He even joked (several times) that all the men were be looking at me. I'm 48 yrs old so I know that's not happening, but it was nice to hear him say it.
I was so sick yesterday that I couldn't think about food. I had a protein shake for breakfast and dinner and lots of water and that's it. I feel kind of queasy today and weak but not totally incapacitated. I guess it was a little stomach bug, the rest of the family is fine. Very strange...
My blackened chicken pasta was scrumptious, the sauce base I get at the HFS, it's with the organic broths and soups in cartons. You add water to it and I threw some nutritional yeast over it (tastes like parmesan cheese) but the real taste in this dish was the blackening spices and I admit there was more sodium than is fat flush acceptable. I measured out one cup of the pasta and chicken mixture and ate a big salad with it, so I think I did fine, I could have overdone it, it was yummy!
I weigh in tomorrow, My clothes are really loose, I'm looking forward to it, I'm back on cran-water, lemon etc today, try to flush any lingering virus from my system.
No exercise yesterday or today I'm afraid but we have a long hike up Mt.Mitchell planned for tomorrow so I'll try not to beat myself up over a few days off to be sick and recover.
I'm glad you like the dressing, I hadn't thought about using it on veggies, yummm. I used to dip my celery in Lite Ranch dressing, I have missed it, I'll try the FF honey mustard.
Smoothies, thick and satisfying-
My recipe- 1 scoop designer whey protein powder (praline or vanilla)
8 0zs lactaid, lactose free skim milk *
1 cup berries
4 ice cubes
* milk is not FF approved because of the lactose sensitivities many folk have and don't know they have. I use Lactaid and it has not slowed my progress, but milk is still carb and calorie laden, so I keep it to one glass a day in my shake minus a tbsp for coffee.
I have gotten so hooked on the smoothies- I ordered a 2 pound canister of designer whey from netrition the other day because my grocery charges almost $15 for 14 ozs! But I got it for $20 including shipping online.
This diet is a bit expensive I have to say but worth it for the results.
And we haven't had fast food in weeks so we are saving money too.
My DH has been half heartedly flushing with me, gave up dairy and wheat, takes the supps, but won't do the cran water unless I make it up for him and follow him around with glasses of it all day. And that's just not in my job description LOL!
I ordered clothes from J.Jill yesterday, size 14, I'm nervous. Hope they are going to fit. Tried on my winter coat from last year it's comical. A size XXL, falling off me now, DH wants to keep it though, as an extra, for company etc. So I ordered a nice alpaca wool coat. I'll take a picture when it gets here!
Well I'm off to scramble some eggs, and eat some spelt toast.
Then
shake with blue berries
roasted turkey breast and asparagus salad
stir fried tempeh with veggies - boy do I miss soy sauce!
I'm waiiting for my book to arrive. Can someone give me precise quantities for the GLA supplements? In milligrams? Does she suggest using evening primrose, borage, or a combination? thanks.
Hi lhendricks
The book gives several different brands but they all have the equivalent of EPR oil 500mg and 45-50mg of GLA per capsule. The brand that I use is the same, and the directions on the bottle say to take 2 capsules, 3 times a day. I only take it twice a day because i get some of this from my diet choices.
She does suggest to use instead of EPR oil, Black Current Seed Oil providing 90mg of GLA. So I would guess that it would be your choice as long as you're getting enough GLA in your diet.
Hi Sil! I finally found this place--duh look under "Diet Plans" right? Hello to everyone! I got interested in the Fat Flush plan after reading some of Sil's posts on another post. So I bought the book. I am gradually working my way into the whole package. Using the supplements, drinking the lemon juice and hot water and the cranwater. I have had to us Ocean Spray Lite (it uses splenda) because I can not find any of the other kinds without sugar anywhere around here. I also made the Fat Flush soup and it is very good. I was wondering about this dressing recipe using flax oil you were talking about? Could you post it maybe? Since it is TOM and I am not fully invested yet in the program I haven't noticed the changes you all have been talking about yet. I do know that I am in that bathroom a LOT more often. Don't know how I'll work this when I start teaching again in a couple of weeks. Okay, that's it for me. Hope you don't mind my barging in. Going to finish the book this weekend and organize myself for full throttle next week.
