Default Questions about BMR

I just used this BMR Calculator. http://health.drgily.com/basal-metab...calculator.php I put in that I am sedentary although I do workout every day. It says that my BMR is 1856 and my total energy requirements are 2042. What does these numbers mean? I have been averaging 1500-1800 calories. Do you think I am eating enough. I have lost 5.5 pounds in my first month checking in here. Of course I have had some higher calorie days, one of them being Thanksgiving. TIA

From those numbers I'd say you might be able to get away with eating a little more each day, but 1800/day is a pretty good number (I'm at a similar weight to you and I aim for 1700-1800 day myself). If you are happy with your weight loss results and you don't feel tired, listless, or hungry all the time, there's probably no need to change.

I got a BMR of 1724 and TER of 1896. Strangely close to each other. I put in sedentrary also, then put did it again with mod active and got the same BMR but 2200+ on the TER.

I did this once before on a different counter {DP?} and got much higher numbers. Something like 2300 BMR and 3000 TER.

BMR 1156 and TER 1503cal. I'm moderately active. That doesn't seem like many calories to me. I am shorter than you though.

Frankly, I'm too sceptical about all this types of calculators.
