Wink Support needed

Hi All,

My name is Michelle. I have been battling the scales most of my life. I am now 33yrs. and truly wanting to make this my last "battle". The last 3-4 years of my life have been challenging with having a stroke, a divorce and starting a new but wonderful relationship. I am a social worker for hospice - and I drive on the road most of the day visiting my patients. I am looking for new ways to eat a healthy lunch, incorporate routine exercise and activity into my life. I am looking for support, whether online or in person who may have similar goals to myself. My partner is very supportive, but is out of town often for work.Anyway, thank you for reading my story (tried to make it brief). I wish everyone well with their own endeavors.

Sincerely,
Michelle

Hi Michelle!

I'm also new to 3FC, but I am already overwhelmed (in the good way) by the amount of support and information available here. I don't think I could have kept up with my diet without it. Even just looking at the goal's reached pages makes me want to keep moving and keep being as healthy as I can. I wish you the best of luck!!!!!!

Hi Michelle!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different plans to help you choose the right one for you and get you through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

hey there!
welcome!

so driving in a car most of the time eh? that does make it difficult to toss in extra exercise. some things i do (silly as they may be!) are: parking at the very end of the parking lot at the store, using a carry basket instead of a push basket at the store, and instead of using the automatic doors, i use the ones you have to pull or push.

meh, little things.

best of luck to you!
